After 2 weeks of hard walking and only eating what he had in his pockets and what kind people gave to him, he arrived at the houseHe was greeted by Eleanor Michaels, the attorney.  Jeff asked her how his grandfather died.  She replied, “No one knows, but he said that if he did not return in a year, to assign his will to the closest family member I could find.  In that case, it was you.”  Jeff asked her if there was any reason it was named Miner Street.  She said, “yes”.  People believe that there was a mine somewhere around here, but no one ever found it.

The house was run down.  It had boarded windows and a leaky roof.  At first, the only two words that came to mind were “haunted house”.  Despite the bad features the house had on the outside he was determined to make it his home.  In his eyes all it needed was a little bit of tweaking.  He was happy to finally have a roof over his head.  Jeff’s favorite feature of the house was the wind chimes that hung by the front door.
