Today is Monday and I'm home alone. Floyds' didn't need me to take care of Sky because they were out of town today and took her with them for a family outing. Uncle Robert is working at the stables all day today. I couldn't take it anymore. I was bored out of my mind. I changed and brushed my hair. Since the last time I drove his 2nd truck to the stables and returned in the same car as him, it was at the stables. Oh well I guess I would have to walk. Its not that far. 20 minute walk maybe. Plus this walk would count as my summer workout. I made it the stables around 12:30. Yup, 24 minute walk. I saw Hayes in the stables with Darcy. "oh hey Danielle" he said has he finished feeding her. "what brings you here" "boredom" I said. I looked at Darcy and saw that she has a bandage on her left hove. "what happened?" I asked. "oh she sprained it this morning" he said. She will be back and ready to ride in week" he said. "Danielle!" my uncle said coming into the stables, "what are you doing here?" "I'm was so bored" I said causing my uncle to laugh. "can I help you with anything?" I said looking around. "Actually today is a very slow day. There nothing to do here. I'm just giving lessons today" he said, "Hayes already feed and groomed the horses" "oh" I said. "Hayes you can go home now. There is nothing left to do" my uncle said to Hayes. "what no camera crew today?" I said to Hayes flatly. Hayes didn't say anything and ignored what I said and just nodded to my uncle. "so there is nothing for me to do?" I asked. "sorry Danny" he said. I sighed. "I have nothing to do back at home either, why don't you come with me downtown and we can hangout" Hayes said. "you know what, that's a great idea" Uncle Rob said smiling. "get Danielle out. Shes was inside all day yesterday and needs to have some fun" he said winking. Why did my uncle just do that? Then they both turned and looked at me, "i got nothing better to do" I shrugged. "That's the spirit" my uncle said. "I have to stay here until 7 today. I have lessons and there is a doctor coming to see Darcy at 6. But you kids go have fun" he said.I said goodbye to my uncle and got into Hayes car. "Ima go home real quick to shower and change" he said. I looked at him, "yeah you do need a shower" I said wrinkling my nose. "funny" he said and turned on the radio. I used to believe we were burning on the edge of something beautiful. "i love this song!" I said. "Its ok I guess", Hayes said shrugging but turning up the volume anyway. He started to drive off the parking lot and into the open road. It was a really warm day so he rolled the windows all the way down, letting the wind blow my hair. Where is a hair tie when you need one. After a little while he started to whisper/sing along "don't you give up. I wont give up. Let me love you" "Liar. You do like this song!" I said looking at him "i said it was ok. I never said I didn't like it" he smiled and turned it up even higher. We danced along to the beat of the music, moving our heads and making motions with our hands. Don't fall asleep at the wheel we got a million miles ahead of us. I looked out the window and saw the tall green tress we passed by. North Carolina is really beautiful. I felt the warm wind blow against my face. I stuck my hand out the window and made little wave motions in the wind. I started to sing along, "Heaven's a heartbreak away. Never let you go. Never let me down.
