New weapons, new roommate, new secrets

Where should I look first? I guess if they are receiving weaponry I should probably look for an armory. Although, it may not be so easy to find; considering all the hallways look the same. They are basically just huge corridors, with white walls, and crescents with delicate golden designs. Also the halls strangely appeared to be alive and constantly changing its course. It reminded me of a story about Daedalus’ Labyrinth. In the story, the labyrinth constantly grew and changed paths.
I figured that it was impossible for this to be a mythical labyrinth. Besides, if this was a labyrinth then there should be a monstrous beast here, like a minotaur or something? As I indulged in this preposterous idea, I heard a loud noise. I figured someone must have dropped something. Then, I heard an inhuman roar coming from the hall to my right. I obviously chose to go left, not out of fear, but out of the value of my time.
I did not have reserves to waste playing monster hunter. However, the monster did feel like hunting, for the roar started to get closer and clearer. I casual sped up, but only to find the armory before it was too late. I figured the thing following me was just some weird kid goofing off. Besides, I could defeat a monster, probably. As the noise grew louder a pang in my gut gave me a feeling I had long ago buried. I couldn't tell if it was fear or anticipation; either way, I was tired of the feeling trying to nudge its way back to the surface.
I turned the corner to my right and waited to see if something was really following me. After a minute of waiting and growing roars it all stopped suddenly. I figured I didn't conceal my presence well and it ran away in fear. As expected I am just too strong for my own good. As I was basking in my glory, the thing came from around the corner. Apparently, I was mistaken, for as soon as I started to walk away a thing jumped onto my back latching on with its sharp claws. I could not think of how to get the beast off, so I let my instincts take over. I grabbed its wrist and was surprised by how small they were. They must belong to some mini demon lord. I then lurched forward with all my might tossing the thing in front of me.
Now I can destroy this thing fair and square. Just as I proceeded to eradicate the beast it looked up with a dry smile, eyes that had went cold long ago, and a seemingly girlish face. The girl looked like a doll that was supposed to resemble a happy girl, but instead it played on the girls emptiness making her appear even colder inside. It reminded me of my time in the orphanage before I had completely sealed off my emotions. I started to wonder if she was just a husk trying to find something to live for. Before I could stop myself I ended up saying something like: “I'll be your reason.” It was kind of low, so I hoped she didn't hear me.

“Hey, why the heck did you jump on me.”

              “I-I want to fight you.”

“Really, you don't sound too sure.”

“I said I want to fight you.”

“I said you don't sound sure."

                 “I want to fight you!”

“Jezz, yelling doesn't solve anything you know, and besides I don't have time to fight you.”

“I won't let you pass until you fight me!”

“You won't or you can't let me pass?”

                     “What’s the difference?”

“You're right, either way you can not stop me.”

                       “Don't get overconfident, freshman!”

I did not want to waste time on a person without their own will, so I shot straight towards her at full speed. She could not even see me as I passed by her face. I did not want her to follow me around everywhere, so I kept my pace until I went down four hallways away from her. Coincidentally, I ran into a freshman class that was on its way to the armory. They were a little startled when I came running out of nowhere and almost bulldozed the teacher, but fortunately with a little explaining the teacher kind of understood what happened and with a little extra badgering he agreed to take me to armory.
When we got to the armory I realized I passed it at least twice. Also, that this academy invested a lot of time and money in its student's weaponry. The room may have been larger than the auditorium with large shelves, crates, barrels, and several racks piled with weapons. Although, the overall design of the room was nothing special all the beautiful weapons gave the room a graceful feeling. Most of the swords had elegant designs that glowed different colors.
I noticed a pair of twin swords with a red moon engraved on one sword and a blue moon engraved on the other. As I moved closer to the blades they began to glow brighter and a mixture of heat and a gentle breeze crept across me. It was pleasant at first, but soon the heat increased and I was turned into popcorn. Then, without restraint a wild gale of freezing wind smashed against my face. The mixture was more than nauseating, but for some strange reason I was intoxicated with the blades show of power. Before I realized the show was over and I was holding a new pair of blades.
When I finally found a thought that wasn't directly concerning the swords I began to dwell on the thought. How come no one noticed the commotion the swords caused? Surely people would notice the extreme temperature changes, or at least the gale winds blowing inside an enclosed room. Surely any normal person would try to find out what was going on, or perhaps run away screaming. Instead, I was alone in stone silence holding two amazing swords.
I started to wonder if everything was just in my head. Although, the swords in my hand erased the thought. I walked around to try and find a checkout counter or something so I could keep the swords. After about five minutes of walking I found the counter. I spotted creepy old man standing in an aile with a wide grin on his face that revealed his white diamond teeth. The wrinkles on his face told me a long and happy story in the brief moment I gazed upon them. I decided just standing around staring at an old man would make me look like the creepy one, so I asked him about the checkout.
“Excuse me sir, I would like to check out these swords.”
