"They know! They fucking know!" She yelled helplessly.
"Hey, hey. Cut it."
"I don't want to!" She exclaimed as she broke down on the crook of his neck. He wrapped his arms protectively around her waist, pressing their bodies together in a warm embrace. She gripped his shirt tightly around his chest area, as she cried her eyes out.
"I don't want any of them to know." The girl cried. He lifted his right hand and stroked the back of her head as his left hand remained.
"They are bound to know sooner or later." He soothingly addressed. She removed herself from his neck, to stare at him with tearful eyes. Her emerald green orbs seemed to glow with the drops of salt water. He didn't say it out loud, but inside his head he only thought of how adorable she looked.
The corner of his lips upturned into a delicate smile. He proceeded to lean forward and pressed his lips on Lucia's forehead. He stood there for a good 5 seconds.
"Here's one..." He said as he pulled his head away to stare deeply into her eyes. He leaned once again, this time planting his lips on the tip of her red nose. "Here's two..."
"And, finally. Here's three." He announced quickly, followed by he leaning one last time, to meet his lips with hers. It wasn't a rough kiss. She didn't need that. He always enjoyed the soft texture of her off-pink lips.
As he slowly pulled away to look at her, he noticed how the flow of tears stopped. Her eyes were traveling in the amazing rollercoaster the other's manly features were. She was extremely happy for a moment. Funny, as she realized the sudden increase on her pulse, she had to pinpoint what was happening before she was in such a state. She found out, and her smile faded. But, it came back. She rested her face on his chest once again. Realizing it was pointless to remain upset.
Her grip on his shirt loosened, finally. He examined everything about her so closely. From the beautiful chocolate color her hair was, to her precious jaw line, to her pink lips, the tip of her nose, the color of her nails, everything about her was perfect. She was everything he ever wanted. He made a promise to himself at that moment. He would protect the beautiful little girl on his arms, with his life.
Lost on her angelic beauty, he came to the realization that her breathing was even and profound. She had drifted to sleep. He rhythmically massaged her soft hair while he pressed soft kisses on her scalp.
Lucia's Point Of View
Slowly I came back to my real senses. I didn't hear my alarm, it must be really late. Why hasn't anyone woken me up, yet?
Without opening my eyes just yet, I began adapting once again to this world. Things were strange, I should be cold. Well, my face is but my body isn't. My mind connected all the pieces of the puzzle in a second's fraction. I opened my eyelids, first thing I saw was a hand on my torso. Looking up that hand, was an arm that went from my torso to my back, which disappeared from my sight once I couldn't stretch my eyes any further. I knew exactly who this arm belonged to. This also explained why I wasn't cold. Another person's body warmth is the best thing to wake up to.
I lifted my right hand from the sheets of his bed to the hand that rested on my stomach, placing my elbow right about where his was. I ever so gently squeezed his hand. This triggered him to retrieve his arm. I was pretty sure he was awoken by that. My thoughts were confirmed when I gently rolled over to meet with Joshua's beautiful crystal blue eyes. They were half closed, which made him look very hot.
"I'm sorry." He whispered.
"Why?"
"I didn't meet you sooner." He said with an even lower tone. My impulsive side, along with my sweet, calmed one, joined forces to clash my lips into his, not fast, yet soft. He put his arm exactly on the middle of my back, pulling me to his chest in one swift motion. I slid my hand to his neck, making motions between his jawline and his collar bone.
I quickly opened my eyes and pulled away, leaving him with a confused look. I let out a quick laugh, which made him smirk in obliviousness.
"Have you any idea of what time is it?" I inquired with a smile. He looked to the side and arched his eyebrows inward,
"No."
I rolled my eyes with a chuckle as I stood up from his bed.
"Joshua... My parents must be worried""They have all the right to be" He said with a smirk.
"You really are a dick head" I mentioned while raising an eyebrow and grabbing my waist with a hand.
"Perhaps."
I let out an exhale and turned on my feet. Slowly scratching the back of my scalp. Something caught my sight. Some frames on top of his drawers. I slowly walked towards them, stopping at the drawers. I examined each one carefully. Each one of them was a picture with his family. I couldn't really say much about them. It was like any other family picture. But, honestly, looking at Joshua smiling so truthfully was overwhelming. As I eyed other frames, he silently stood up from his bed and approached me from behind.
"Where are they?"
"Elsewhere." He replied shortly. I didn't have anymore questions, I just set the picture down on the wood.
My phone, which was on my jean pocket, vibrated.
"It's most likely my father. What should I say?" I asked with a scared look.
"Well that's a funny question. What will you say?" He said with his infamous smirk. I sighed pressing my eyebrows. I tapped on the phone and took it to my ear.
Where are you?
"Joshua's." I informed, biting my lip. He didn't reply right away. In fact, I could listen to his quiet strong breathing. I kept hearing this for mere 5 seconds, when the line hung dead.
I pressed my lips together and rose my eyebrows as I tilted my face.
"Well, that sure went great." I said will hitting my phone to my other palm.
"It's okay. The truth is always better." He smiled.
Short chapter. Next one will be longer. School has me busy as heck.
