'Feliks, I love you, you don't have to go through with this.' Toris's voice wavered and tears were visible in his eyes.

'I know, I love you too but I need to do this. For us.' Feliks smiled reassuringly but a drop of salty water ran down his cheek.

'You don't have to, we could live in secret together. Please don't-' He was cut off by the blonde Polish man gripping his face harshly before pulling him forward until their foreheads painfully met.

'But we could get married, we could live a normal quiet life. I-I don't want to see you get hurt. I would never be able to forgive myself.' Feliks sighed.

Toris shut his eyes, not wanting to say goodbye. He could feel the other's hot breath with his.

'But you will get hurt. You might even, might even... d-die.' Toris didn't want to admit his true feelings.

Feliks has never before shown this side of himself, he always acted so carefree and lazy. This shocked Toris as he thought he knew him inside out. Toris pulled back to look at Feliks in the eye. Those eyes that he may not see alive again.

'Is this what you want?'

'No. Well yes, it will make us both more happy.'

'Alright Feliks, it's time for your operation.' The doctor came into the waiting room, a grim look on his old face. They knew they could trust him.

'You can still turn back, there's still time!' Toris was almost shouting now and he was in hysterics.

'Please keep your voice down, the walls here are very thin.' The doctor hissed at them. They were in a small apartment in a small block of three flats total.

'You shouldn't do this.' Toris said slightly quieter

'I may be lazy but I sure am stubborn. I will go through with this and I will make it.' Felix gripped Toris's head once more and kissed him. 'Goodbye.'

'G-goodbye.'

The tall doctor put his hand on Feliks' shoulder and said while scratching his thinning hair that the procedure would take approximately two and a half hours, before leading Felix out of the room.

When the doors closed Toris fell to the ground. Two and a half hours? For a gender reassignment surgery?

One week later

The church organs droned and there was a great rustling as everyone took their place. They weren't religious, but they felt as though they must have a traditional wedding. Felicia was in a huge white gown with flowers decorating the bodice and many different layers decorating the skirt. It was minimalistic yet stunning.

'You look beautiful.' Toris had his hands on his soon to be wife's hips.

'So do you.' Felicia grinned cheekily who had her hands on her soon to be husband's shoulders.

Toris lifted Felicia's vale and there was a small polite applause which cued the church organ to stop.

I don't know how to write weddings so use your imagination

'You may now kiss the bride.'

Rebelliously, Felicia closed the gap between them and Toris swooped her up into his arms. She was actually surprisingly heavy despite her small slim figure.

The moment was too short however, and suddenly Felicia fell out of Toris's arms. Toris immediately knelt down beside Felicia, appalled by what he saw.

Felicia was coughing up blood, covering her stunning dress. She held her stomach in pain and turned to Toris, wincing, red dribbling down her chin.

'I love you so much. I kept my promise.'

Toris refused to believe what he was seeing, shaking his head over and over, helpless to Felicia who was spitting out larger and larger chunks of something you could find in a bucher's. Her dark blood was staining the lighter red carpet, dripping down the stairs.

The audience watched, mouths open, people covering children's eyes.

'NO FELIKS YOU HAVE TO HOLD ON! Please, I love you more than anything else in the world...'

Felicia's smile flickered she leaned in to whisper in his ear. Toris had used the wrong name.

'Run. You must run. Get out of this country now. P...please... promise me?' She pulled back and smiled for the last time before coughing blood all over Toris.

She collapsed in his arms.

After about thirty seconds, Toris got up, shakily, his mouth still partly open and his eyes wide with disbelief.

And ran as fast as he could.
