"Hey!" Screeched a girl who looked about my age, nudging the boy standing next to her "it's the girl that fell into the lake!"
I looked down in embarrassment and tried to pretend I didn't hear that. Okey so I probably shouldn't be back in this damn park after what happened yesterday but I promised Zach that I'd meet him here.
"Boo!" Said a low husky voice behind me, making me turn around to face the handsome young man in front of me. Zach had the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. He had a warm, dimpled smile and the biggest cheek bones ever. "So you've recovered from yesterday" he smirked.
I rolled my eyes, trying to hold in my giggle "that was so embarrassing you don't even know"
"Well I thought it was funny" he exclaimed "that lake was freezing thought"
"I-I don't really remember" I said in a daze "wait you went in the lake to??"
"Well no shit Sherlock" he laughed "I wasn't gonna let you die on the spot was i"
"Okey let's just start again" I smile awkwardly "I'm Dessie" "And I'm Zach" he says in his cute American accent. We stayed in comfortable silence; I could feel his gaze on me "wait Dessie as in Desdemona from Shakespeare?" "Wow your the first person to ever get that right!" I said in astonishment "Yeah well I've read two or three Shakespeare plays... or ten... or more" he broke eye contact. Nooo those beautiful blue eyes!!!! wait what am I saying wtf? "I'm a bit of a geek, or a lot of a geek but shhh don't tell anyone" "Same omg finally!" I chuckled "someone who likes Shakespeare as much as I do. It's so crazy how he understood the human heart so well" "Tell me about it" he smiled
"So your going to help me decorate?" I asked hopefully "Of course" he said

After we finished putting up the last fairy lights we took a step back to view our new apartment... or my new apartment.

I really made this place my own. It's the first time I've ever been able to, with living in different kids homes all the time there was no opportunity to decorate anything.

"Oh come on it's not that far" he says, dragging me along the cobbled streets down a dark alley way "its just down here" "Down...Where...?" I say obliviously at the dead end "Keep looking" Zach smirked, not making eye contact "you'll kick your self when you see it" I peered around the brick alley way searching all the walls for a hidden door or something "is that it?" "No...that's a rock." "Ugh I give up!" I paced up and down the narrow space searching everything in sight, what is he doing? Huh, I don't even know this guy... Why am I here... omg what if he's a murderer or something?? I turned around to talk to Zach when I realized... he's gone.
"Psst" I hear a whisper coming from underneath me "ppssst" "Zach?" I whisper-shouted "this isn't funny! Come out right now or I'm leaving!"
I let out a highly pitched scream as a warm hand grabbed my foot "what in the-" "Well come on then" he smirked, popping out from a hatch in the ground. I rolled my eyes and clambered down the ladder underneath me, trying to hide my embarrassment. I was born a dumb blonde. "What even is this place" I scoff as we walk down a candle-lit corridor under ground "I swear if your gonna murder me-" "Woah, calm your shit gurl" I rolled my eyes as we reached a small wooden door "you ready?" Zach said menacingly, the candle light glistening in his deep blue eyes "As I'll ever be" He put one hand over my eyes and opened the door with the other. I felt light seep through the cracks between his fingers in front of my face as we both took a few steps forward.
Without warning, his hand was removed from my eyes reviling something I definitely didn't expect...
