Why Can't the internet learn to speak?
Look at them, prisoners of their screens
Nobody knows what they really mean.
We took freaks and called them geeks
But history proved them very sleek.
We see them speaking in a strange tongue
Something silly of the young
We see them laughing, LOL
When someone does an epic fail.
Why can't the internet just learn how to speak?
This repetition, by now, should be antique
We're amongst a generation
That ignores basic education
Just to be an internet sensation
Standard English deserves respect
More than just autocorrect
They'll be like "chillax"
Instead of facing facts.
There's a world outside of Snapchat Stories
Where understanding one another is...mandatory
And don't get me started on the internet trolls
Those people don't seem to have a sou-
-le good thing to say about the world.
"Cuz I'm savage, you know?
This ain't just for show"
At least that's what they'll say
When they're showing off for bae.
Oh why can't the internet learn to...spell words in the actual correct way?
Typing "your" instead "you're" (you are) it's really not okay.
When I hear them say "lit"
It makes me wanna quit
