“Should we wake her up?” a voice interrupted my peaceful slumber, it wasn’t one that I could recognize.

“Why?” another voice, which I recognized as Harry’s voice answered.

“I don’t know.. Maybe she has to eat?” the same voice spoke up.

“No let her sleep, then she’s less annoying.” this definitely was Harry again. I could recognize his voice clearly.

“If you find her so annoying, then why is she here, Harry?” a voice as I recognized as Louis’ voice interrupted the small conversation between Harry and the unknown boy.

“You know why.” Harry replied rather sharply.

“Actually, we don’t.” Liam’s voice butted in as well, by now I was fully awake and pretended to be asleep to eavesdrop.

“I tried feeding from her, but she downed vervain. Because of that I couldn’t compel her to forget afterwards seeing as I couldn’t drain her from her blood since it was and still is filled with vervain. We have to wait until the vervain is out of her system so we can ask her questions, compel her to forget everything and maybe when she’s annoying still drain her from her blood. From what I could taste it tasted amazing.” 

“First of all, we don’t feed from the healthy. Secondly, ask her what exactly?” Liam said the first part sharply, as if he was trying to get something across.

“You don’t feed from the healthy, I do." Harry replied in the same tone Liam used. "Ask her how she knew about vampires and then kill the source.” he continued.

“Killing isn’t always the best thing to do Harry.” Liam said with a sigh.

“Kill or be killed.”

I decided that I had heard enough, the only thing I wanted to know was the reason why I was here and now I knew it. I slowly turned around so I was laying on my back, I opened my eyes a bit, letting them adjust to the light before fully opening them.

I was surprised when there were 5 boys in the room, they all looked around the same age, if I had to guess around the 20. I recognized Harry, Liam and Louis immediately but the other 2 boys weren’t ones I knew.

“Great now she’s awake anyway..” Harry mumbled under his breath in a voice so low that I could barely make out what he had said, but I did, and it was kind of harsh. He stood up and left the room.

“I’m Niall!” one of the boys I didn’t know said, he had blue eyes that I could literally drown in and blond hair but I knew it wasn’t natural, for some reason I could always see it if someone’s hair colour was natural or not. He had a small smile playing on his lips, I nodded and looked at the other boy, waiting for him to introduce himself to me. He looked at me, his lips pressed in a firm line.

“I’m Catherine.” I said slowly, seeing as the other boy wasn’t going to introduce himself to me.

“And this is Zayn!” Niall said pointing at the other boy whose name was apparently Zayn. Zayn had black hair and brown eyes, he wore a pained expression mixed with a glare as he looked me up and down.  Niall nudged him in the side, making him snap his eyes away from me and settling them on Niall. Without saying anything he tore his gaze awar from niall and exited the room with using his vampire speed, Niall followed quickly after him.

“Sorry about him, he doesn’t really like humans.” Louis excused Zayn.

“You guys were humans once, weren’t you?” I asked with a frown on my face, how could he not like humans when he was one himself before..
