I jolted up, gasping for air. My eyes immediately shot open ready to take in the sight of my room, but instead of meeting my familiar room I saw that I wasn’t in my room. I wasn’t even in a bed room, I was currently laying on a couch, a rather comfortable one may I add. Slowly I sat up, putting my feet on the ground. From what I could see I was in a living room.

Where was I? My neck was sore, reaching up with my hand I massaged it a bit. It was sticky, probably some sweat. When I pulled my hand back it was covered in a red liquid, blood. I quickly stood up, my eyes landed on a mirror. I made my way over to it and pushed my messy hair aside. There was dried blood covering my neck and from the source came still blood. I looked closer and saw 2 little punctures and then every memory from last night’s events came back to me, there was one thing on my mind; I needed to get out of here.

I needed to get my stuff back or otherwise I would freeze to death outside. I searched around and finally came into a huge hallway where my stuff was laying on the floor. I slipped into my uggs, my feet were immediately a lot warmer. I pulled my beanie over my head and was about to slip my coat on when a voice spoke up, startling me.

“Where do you think you’re going?” I swiftly turned around and met an unfamiliar face. It wasn’t the vampire from last night. He had short brown hair with brown eyes.

“I-I’m sorry I don’t know how I got here, I should just go.” I managed to get out, I eyed him suspiciously and slipped into my coat.

“I’m sorry love, but I can’t let you leave.” he answered me, he was watching my every move. Was he a vampire as well?

“What? Why not? Who are you? Why am I here?” I started firing questions at him.

“Harry she’s awake.” he said. Who was Harry and how could Harry even hear him if he was talking like that? There was a flash which stopped right next to the boy, it was the vampire from last night.

“Thanks Liam.” he said and patted the boy, whose name was apparently Liam, on the back.

“No problem, Harry.” he replied, giving him a small smile and walking off. So his name was Harry.. Harry didn’t say anything but just turned around, walking into the same direction as Liam. I cautiously followed after him. When I reentered the living room only Harry was present. I slipped out of my coat and hung it over the couch next to me.

“Sit,” he ordered and I did as I was told, not daring to go against him, “How?”

“How what?” I asked, what was he talking about? I could already see him getting irritated, he had a short temper that was for sure. If I wanted to get out of here alive I needed to keep my mouth shut as much as I could.

“How did you know about us, vampires?” he asked even though it sounded more like a demand. His green eyes were cold and held no emotion.

“You bit me.” I said carefully, his eyes shifted from mine to my neck and back to my eyes. Obviously checking out the wound he gave me yesterday.

“Before that.” he replied rather harshly. He looked like he was ready to jump of the couch and tear me apart.

“I didn’t.” I said, what did he mean with before that? I knew what vampires were, but I never knew that they really existed. I always thought they were a mythical creature.

“Yes you did. Why else would there be vervain in your system, you must have ingested it yourself. And let’s not speak about the ring you have.” his voice, just like his eyes, were cold and held no emotion. What was wrong with my ring? It was my great grandmother’s just like my necklace.
