The Calling

PART 1: THE TOWNS OF BAD, GOOD, GREEDINESS, AND HUMBALITY.

The day was gloomy and depressing, the clouds cried their grievances and the sun decided to hide away: all of the day was gloomy, on the other hand the day was anything but, you see, ever since way back in 4868 a ritual had started and it continued to this day (5264). Today was the day the big day, today was "The Calling." The children of every town under the rule of the Demor the Great and Terrible stood in line waiting for the sliver of hope, the chance of freedom from Demon's tyrannical rule and hope in the arms of the group, "The Call" so naturally for this day to make it there the only acceptable name was "The Calling." 4 girls and 4 boys got the chance to leave and move on, provide money and hope to their family. The kids were to be from ages 16 to 18 in order to be chosen. These kids were chosen because of the fact that they possessed immense powers that only can be unlocked by the drink, "Caller Serum." This was a thick liquid that enhanced the flow of the blood causing are remnants of the highly susceptible power to awaken and transformed to its full potential.

The town line in Scrapers was small in comparison to other towns, then again children were quite rare there so no one was surprised. "The Calling" started with the normal shouts of anger and hate unlike the other towns with encouragement and support. You see people from Scrapers were on the bottom of the food chain and despite the fact that "The Call" provided for the families whose children they took each family was more than happily depressed with their own. Compared to all the others 2 people: one male, one female were even more obnoxious than they rest. They threw rocks and shoes at the "Callers" and despite the desperate pleas of the neighboring family continued their outrage. You see in their mind they had good enough reason for this, from the day their children were born they both knew that these children of theirs were going to be chosen and that was the last thing that they wanted.

Unlike its name Grimsville was the happiest place under Demor's rule. The people there gathered in matching family shirts to celebrate the fact that one of their children could get a life better than they ever could have. The town was painted in black, silver, and gold in remembrance of those gone. The parents smiled and waved at their children hoping their their children would be chosen, Was it for the money, fame, or good reason no one really knew. Slowly the usher calmed down the people and the assembly began.

Cremer was one of the largest cities and one of the richest for sure. "The Calling" was a day for parents to showcase their heirs even if they were not selected to leave. The assembly took place under the tallest building in the city, "Silver Scoop" the backstabbing, gossiping news station that everyone loved. The owners were the refund Silvers. Despite their greatest efforts their son was as unruly and rebel minded as could be so today was especially important for them, but they are of no importance, No, here was just a dance off in ways of the best of the best, of course being the gloomy dark day it was and the amount of the rich, it was also a field day of pickpockets and troublemakers. Then again the rich always had more saved up in the bank for the midday tea, so they should be fine dining with much more than any of us commoners will ever wish to have.

The ice rain was especially cold in Nervi, the people were cuddled together smiling at at their children. It was a small village with poor people, but it was a happy village nonetheless. They waved their handkerchiefs and the passersby. The stage was getting its final preparations done when a blast went through the field where "The Calling" took place. It was a splash of red, yellow, and orange. Then all settled down in the town for the people from here were quite docile and calm. THe eldest began with the classic passing feast that only seemed to occur here. The food was passed along and all the children thanked for their opportunity and they adults thanked for their children's chance at freedom. THe peacefull place it was all we happy for each other too.
