Okay so let me say this...I am so sorry. This entire book or part is two chapters and it kinda sucks, but I needed someone to say "Goodnight." SO again I am so sorry, but I promise the Death Hunters is amazing and soooooooo much better.
I hate myself for this.
The Death Hunters Book 2 of the Freedom Series
The group of friends sat around their table, glowing with their recent success. This group of friends was called The Death Hunters. The five of them passed around food and drinks until their night was abruptly cut short. It was a call from their loyal recruits. The new recruits were causing a rebellion. Only 6 of them, but it was still a problem.
The Death Hunters stormed into the room to find it devoid of any people. What they had expected to find were their new enemies. You see, the newest recruits were powerful-- too powerful for them not to be a danger to The Death Hunters. This new generation of had figured out their plan that TDH (The Death Hunters) had for them. Those recruits were too powerful not to be noticed.
"James," a voice called out. It was Tobias, the ginger-haired Winged One.
"WHAT?" James yelled in annoyance; he was the redhead, prankster, and Siren of the group.
"I'm hungry," Tobias whined.
"Then go annoy your sister, not me. Never me, always do what I ask," James sang in a soothing voice, and Tobias nodded his head.
"Brooklyn, Brook, Brooks, B-b, I am hungry," Tobias whined. Brooklyn growled and imagined a muzzle around his mouth and there the muzzle was. Laughter echoed around the room and the muzzle around Tobias's mouth disappeared. Brooklyn was a blonde, brown eyed, Creator.
"Well, fine, if no one wants me, then I shall leave you in peace. Just let me be," Tobias growled as he started to fly away from his teammates. Immediately, the wind picked up and held him back from lifting off the ground.
"Sky," he growled, "Don't mess with me, Skyler.""Did he say it?? I think he said it. Yes, he did. Good luck Tobias!!" the leader, Skyler, yelled out at the poor boy as Sky made the wind push Tobias down, the rain pummel at him, the earth split beneath his feet, and fire surround him. She had jet black hair and emerald green eyes. As the leader of the group, she also was the most powerful--an elementalist.
"Ha, ha, you made your point Sky, let me be now," Tobias yelled.
"Sure...maybe...fine," she said at last, thanks to Brooklyn's opposition. Sky and Jacob whispered together as Sky finally put Tobias back down.
Brooklyn sighed at the love blooming in the air until out of the corner of her eye she saw 15 more Jacobs heading towards Tobias. As they leaned in to push him out of the window, a dark shape bashed into the door.
Everyone froze. James headed to the door and slowly peeled it open, only to choke on his own spit. Jacob tried to peek over with his spiky brown hair and kaleidoscope eyes.
"Emma," James exclaimed, smiling at the blonde girl at the door. She looked like she had never been killed or been in a fight before.
"No, it is Seb." Sky smiled at the jet black-haired, emerald green-eyed brother of hers who had died in battle from Demor's curse.
"Maryam." Tobias sighed at the sight of the girl that he had fallen for, and she had fallen for the team, saving their lives in the process.
"Guys, there is only one person at the door, and that person is not any of our teammates," Jacob yelled.
"Of course not," Brooklyn sighed, "It is my mum; she left me because of cancer, but now she is back."
Jacob looked at this girl, whose hair was dyed purple and replied, "She is inhuman. Guys, look away."
"My name is Victoria. Bringing those who you lost and miss back is my speciality. Do you not miss someone who is gone, Mr. Silvers??" the girl crooned.
"I miss them, yes, but I've moved on, knowing that they are in a better place," Jacob explained harshly.
"There are very few of you who move on; most prefer to look back, and I am only showing them what they want," she laughed.
"And I am only doing what is right, at least in my book," Jacob spat as he raced forward with his gold sword in hand and stabbed the girl in the heart. He saw the life drain out of her eyes and the fire extinguish in her soul.
'Just doing my job,' Jacob sighed in his head.
Sky, followed by the rest of the team, woke with a start.
"What happened to us??" Sky questioned.
"Seb, Maryam, Emma, and your mum are still dead. Nothing is going to change that, not even an inhuman who can show you who you miss the most," he explained sourly.
"Who did you see??" James questioned.
"No one," he retorted, and walked away. "I need a break."
Sky went to reach out after Jacob, but was interrupted by a male voice.
"I can help with that. I can give you a break for the rest of your life...or at least what is left of it," he smirked. His eyes were as black as his hair as black as DEATH.
