*Note: At the parts where you need to insert your name as you read, there will be a group of parenthesis and a y/n which means your name. -- ex - (y/n) -- If your middle, full, or last name is needed for it to make more sense, it will say (y/mn), (y/fn) or (y/ln) respectively. This will carry throughout the entirety of the story*

You wake up, and everything is a blurry haze. You can't remember where you are; your head hurts too much. You try to blink so that you can see your surroundings, but you still can see hardly anything. This is not from the fuzziness in your vision, but because there isn't any light wherever it is that you are.
Your first realization other than the lack of light and the fact that you don't know your whereabouts is that your head hurts. A lot. You try to sit up but collapse onto your back involuntarily because of the sudden rush of fatigue you experience. Your head throbs even more after this failed attempt to sit up, but your thoughts are so jumbled you try sitting up again, only to experience the same results.
"D-don't do th-th-that. Ju-just lay down" a male voice says shakily.
Startled, you flinch and try to turn towards where you heard the sound begin to emanate from. Your heart races and panic takes over.
"Don't hurt me" you mumble, scared but still dazed.
You hear an amused chuckle. "I-I won't hurt y-you. I pro-promise" the same voice states.
You feel a hand reach out and touch your arm gingerly. In shock you pull away.
"S-sorry" the voice exclaims. "Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid. So goddamned stupid" the voice mutters over and over, more to himself than to you.
You feel oddly sorry for whoever it is talking to you. "No no no, don't call yourself stupid" you object though your voice is weak.
"Aren't... aren't you m-mad at me" the voice questions warily.
"No, why would I be" you ask in turn.
"Be-because I t-touched your arm... a-and you... p-pulled away s-so I... th-thought you were upset" he says apologetically.
"I wasn't upset, just shocked cuz I can't see you or anything else" you reply.
"H-holy shit I... I am so sorry. I ju-just thought that... but... I'll t-turn on a light..."
You hear him get up out of what you presume to be a chair, then hear heavy and staggered footsteps across what sounds like a wooden floor. Without warning he flips on a lightswitch and you are blinded momentarily until your eyes adjust to the dim light from the chandelier-esque fixture overhead. He then returns to the chair that he had been sitting in to the left of the bed where you are currently lying.
"I-is... is that better" he asks sheepishly while looking at you.
You're taken aback and fear fills you. It's the same boy from the woods, the one with the bloodstained sweatshirt and orange goggles. His mask is off now, hanging loosely around his neck, revealing a large and open gash on the left side of his mouth. You can see his teeth through the wound which makes you cringe.
Instinctively, he reaches his hand up and covers his mouth with a bandaged hand. "D-don't think about... my scar too much... It re-really isn't th-that bad" he offers as consolation, twitching at odd intervals throughout his sentence.
Still scared, you can't take your eyes off of him. You're trembling and he can see this. "Where am I" you manage to inquire, your entire being engulfed in apprehension.
"I.... I'm not really supposed to t-tell you... Slendy would get pretty mad at me... But uh, y-you're safe... I wo-won't... I won't hurt you" he replies, seeming to be just as nervous as you are.
His vague response only fills you with more anxiety. "Can you at least tell me your name" you ask, gaining more confidence since he too seems uncomfortable, which causes a mutual feeling of uneasiness yet calmness between the two of you.
"Name's Toby. T-Toby Erin Rogers" he responds then pauses before asking you for your's.
"Oh, um, I'm (y/n). (y/fn) that is" you respond and giggle.
A smile spreads across Toby's face. "(y/n). (y/n). Hmm, I l-like that name. (y/n) (y/n) (y/n)" he repeats over and over, again pausing at seemingly random intervals because of his twitching. "Y-you know... I-I guess it ca-can't really hurt to tell you... where you are... Sl-Slendy's gonna k-kill me though" he says, smirking.
"Well if this 'Slendy' is gonna get upset, you don't have to tell me" you offer, but Toby shakes his head.
"No no no no no no no no. I want to te-tell you."
"Are you sure you won't get in trouble?"
"No... but I'm Slendy's favorite... and if I give him $20 he'll g-get over it" your new acquaintance grins.
You smile in return, excited to hear what he has to say. "Well, pray do tell then" you tease.
Toby brushes the hair out of his face and pulls his hood down, then puts his goggles on top of his head, revealing his pale gray eyes. "Well for starters... you're in my bedroom right now... which is in The Mansion, wh-which is where all us proxies and other kill-- I mean... uh, misfits live." He shifts uncomfortably, staring down at his shoes while rhythmically patting his lap.
"What do you mean by 'misfits'" you inquire. You too are uncomfortable and more scared than before.
Toby pauses and tilts his head to the side, staring at the floor. "Well, uh, n-not the band... That... that's for sure" he replies, managing a small sideways smile.
At that moment, Toby's bedroom door is flung open suddenly and a young boy dressed in what appears to be a green tunic runs in.
"Toby! Toby! Jeff's pissed off at me again. Get him to leave me alone" the boy exclaims, running to Toby's side for protection from whoever "Jeff" is.
"Wh-what did ya do... to him this time BEN" Toby asks, more amused than concerned.
"Well, you see here's the thing. I was innocently minding my own business while playing videogames with EJ, then Jeff threw his stupid sweatshirt onto my face and I freaking LOST, so naturally I took his knife and threw it outside into the pond" BEN replies before noticing your presence. "Who's she? Your giiiirlfriend? I'm gonna tell Slendy that you let someone into the mansion" he says mockingly after noticing you.
"Well, then I'll tell Jeff that you... hide i-in my room whenever... he's mad at y-you" Toby tells him as firmly as possible. "I-I'm serious BEN. Please... please don't tell anyone... pl-please."
"Puh-Puhleeze don't te-te-tell anyone" the boy mocks Toby's speech patterns and odd ticks, causing him to grow angry.
"GE-GET OUT" Toby thunders, standing up and knocking his chair over in the process. "BEN, I said to get out of my room! Go! Tell Slendy! I d-don't care! Just get out" he screams, pointing to the still open door.
There's a tall figure standing just outside the doorway. He's deathly thin and dressed in a pristine tuxedo.
"Tell me what Toby" he inquires.
Toby freezes and looks towards the door. "Shit."
