The lost princess

Chapter 1-The Beginning

"Goodnight sweetheart" I tell my seven year old daughter, Ashley as I tuck her into bed. "Mommy" I heard her say. " Yes Ash?" I asked as I stood by the door. " Can you tell me the story?" She asked and wide awake as ever. I smiled, I know which story she was talking about. My story. I walked over to her and sat on her bed. " Okay. But do you promise to go to sleep after?" Her little head nodded up and down. " Okay it all began when I was 18 years old."

Six years ago
"Julie! Your going to be late to school if you don't hurry up!" I heard my mother scream for the millionth time. "I'm coming!" I scream back. I look at my outfit once more. A lilac dress with a white cardigan and brown sandals. I grab my book bag and books before walking downstairs. "There you are. Come on, you don't want to be late on your last day of school." My mother said as she pushed me out the door and to her car.

Once I got into school, I was engulfed into a bone crushing hug. Once I was able to breathe again, I saw that the culprit was none other than my best friend Amy. " Sup girl!" She exclaims.  " Did you hear?" I looked at her confused. "Hear what?" She looked annoyed that I didn't know.

"Well,King Joe and Queen Firstborn  went missing 18 years ago. So they spent all this time looking for her. And they found her. They said that she should be around 18." I nodded . But she could tell I sill didn't get it. " Well, if you had payed attention in history, you would know that the firstborn of the royal family would be able to inherit the crown. So they said that tonight they will announce who she is and she will get her crown!!" Oh. Now I understand. Amy doesn't look anything like her parents. So she believes she was adopted. And now she thinks she's the lost princess of Alva. " No way." I say as I check my phone. *Ring*  I hugged Amy. " See you at lunch boo." She replied " See you at lunch girl."

I'm so glad that it's the end of the day. Amy and I walked over to my house. She had her overnight bag. It's been a tradition that I sleep at her house or she sleeps at my on the last day of school and the weekend. We got into some comfortable clothes. " Girls! Is starting!" My father screams. Amy races down stairs and flys into our couch. When I get downstairs i grab my favorite snack before I snuggle next to Amy.

"Hello people of Alva. I'm Joe Alvarez and you are watching Alva 1 news. Before we announce the lost princess, school ended today. All the seniors over at Rose high school all very happy that school has ended and they are off in the next chapter of their life. I can't say the same for the rest of the students. And we have a new citizen. Avery Blue Wallace was born today at 12:00 am at King Joe hospital, weighing a healthy 8 pounds and 12 ounces. The mother is recovering very nicely and hopefully Mr. Wallace has some money saved up, he's going to need it."

He looks though the papers in his hands. He clears his throat before looking back at the camera.

"Before we find out who our future ruler is let's get a backstory. 18 years ago the first born of King Joe and Queen May was taken from her crib in the middle of the night. The guards looked all over for her.

Now the moment you're be all waiting for. The lost princess of Alva is...... Julie Robins.       Tomorrow afternoon she will receive a letter containing all the information she needs and then in two weeks she will be sent over to the castle of Alva to meet her long lost parents. I'm Joe Alvarez and this has been Alva 1 News. Goodnight everyone and have a great weekend."

Wait,What? I looked towards my parents, they had the same look of bewilderment as me. I couldn't believe it. I was the lost princess of Alva.
