I held him in my arms, stroking his tears away as my own dripped onto his cheeks. He gasped sharply and I clutched him tighter. He smiled weakly as he locked eyes with me. I let out a small, watery laugh as more tears streamed down my face. I stroked his cheek in attempt to comfort him, but I couldn't help feel like everything was my fault.

The night was pitch black, even though it was still early, which was a benefit for a ninja like me. I stuck to the shadows as jumped from the rooftop down to the ally with a manhole in the centre. I checked once more around me and hopped down into the sewers.

I visibly relaxed as I heard the sound of laughter trail down the tunnels. I picked up my pace as I made my way to the entrance of my family's hideout.

As I walked through the turnstiles, I saw a not unusual sighting of my orange clad brother being chased by my red clad brother. I smiled and walked to the pit.

"Hey sis!" Mikey shouted as he flipped over me. My smile grew as he called me sis. It always makes me feel warm and welcome.

"Hey Mikey." I jumped back as Raph ran in front of me with pure anger in his eyes. "Hello to you too Raph."

I felt a presence behind me and turned to see my father. I bowed in respect and he placed a hand in my shoulder.

"My child." I stood straight again and smiled once more. "How was your trip to the surface?" He asked gently.

"I ran into the foot," My smile faltered as I saw my father tense. "It was nothing I couldn't handle, father." I reassured him.

"I am glad, my daughter." He cupped my cheek lovingly and walked to the dojo as Leonardo walked out.

"Hey Leo, training again?" I looked at him and in my peripheral vision I saw Mikey being pinned down by Raph.

"Yeah," he blushed in embarrassment as he knew it wasn't surprising. "How was the surface?"

"It was good, ran into Shredder's henchmen. Can't believe they thought I was still on their side and that I was lying to you guys." I rolled my eyes and Leo smiled.

"Well, I'm happy you like staying with us." He smiled brighter and walked into the bathroom.

I looked around for my genius brother, when I couldn't find him, I assumed he was in his lab.

I turned my attention back to my fighting brothers. Raph had gotten bored and sat down to watch tv, leaving Mikey on his own pouting. He shrugged and went into the kitchen. I decided to follow as Raph wouldn't be very sociable and Donnie was surely busy.

Before I reached the door, I heard Mikey talking to someone.

"-n't know, kitty." A defeated sigh followed. "The guys aren't as fun as they used to be. Donnie's always cooped up in his lab, Raph 'doesn't have time for baby stuff', and Leo is always training." A soft mew followed as I walked in the kitchen.

Ice cream kitty doesn't know how to react to me yet. She always hisses at anyone who isn't Mikey or April, but I think Mikey told her all about me once so I think she might be okay with me if I don't get too close.

Mikey turned at her disturbance and plastered a big smile on his face. He turned back, scooped up kitty and placed her back in the freezer. He sat back down and offered for me to take a seat opposite. We sat in silence for a minute before Mikey broke it.

"You're so lucky you got to go to the surface tonight. There's a festival on and Leo says its best to stay down here to avoid being spotted." He drooped on the table. "I quite like the band that's on as well."
