Worth. The quality that renders something desirable, useful or valuable. What does it mean when placed over a human's head? How does one single person determine the worthiness of another? That one single, insufficient person is incomprehensible of their own worthiness. They require other's assistance in that. Using another's action, the said person could slowly, but surely determine how much they would weigh in worth.
"Uh, helllllllloooooo?" A voice says as I quickly snap back to the reality of the situation. "Earth to Edward!" Someone exclaims as the rest of the table chuckles as a crew.
I push back the brown hair atop my head in a feeble attempt to make it seem suave before covering my mouth in a cup made out of the flesh maggots known as fingers, "Yes earth, this is Edward Mccullen of mission to the planet Pluto, what did you need?"
The table explodes with laughter again as Blake crosses their arms in a slight huff, "Ah geez, I was only looking out for you, not gonna let you sit there, staring off into space like more of a dork than you actually are."
They adjust the backwards flat bill, hiding the bright red ginger hair. Surprisingly, the shoulder length hair is completely able to fit underneath whatever hat comes up. Today, it was a black and gold hat, swirling in a pattern almost like a circus top.
"Then again, at least Eddy over here has a soul," a voice says as their arm drops over my shoulder.
It's Andrew. His face grins a massive smile as his brown eyes lock onto mine as I extend a flesh maggot nest forward for a high five. He triumphantly smacks the palm as he pulls himself off of me. Blake rolls their eyes, for they have heard every soulless ginger joke in the book.
I wipe the small collection of blush that had slowly begun to develop on my face. Phew. "You know, it's almost hard to believe that it's already been almost 3 years since we met." The table collectively praises with excitement. The four of us, Blake, Andrew, Pam and me, of course...
