  ***TWO DAYS LATER***

My fourteenth birthday was coming up in a week and Percy was getting stressed. He kept on looking at the sky a muttering 'You promised' over and over again. So, to get his mind off claiming, Annabeth decided to bring him on a date. And I was supposed to hang out with Piper and Hazel. Key words supposed to. I wanted to spend time alone so I ditched them and here I was, walking in the forest, and kicking stones out of my way.

Nico interrupted my thoughts, " It's cool. I'm Nico di Angelo, Son of Hades. " I shake his hand.

" Perri Jackson, Daughter of... I have no idea." I look up to his face, and smile. He chuckles.

"Well, soon you'll know who your godly parent is. At least, that was the deal." I look up at him, confused. He notices the expression on my face with shock," So, you've never heard about the deal your brother made with the gods?" I shake my head," A year ago, there was a big war and we won. Percy wanted the gods to pay attention to us, so he made them claim us when we reach thirteen."

I look at him worried, " I'm turning fourteen in several days." he puts his hand on my shoulder to comfort me.

" Don't worry, " he sounds worried, " You'll be claimed soon."

We stayed in the forest, just talking all day. Before I fell asleep, I came to the conclusion that I had a crush on Nico di Angelo.
