I slam my hand down on my alarm clock to try and shut it off, but I manage to press the snooze button. I take time to peel my eyes open and see the sun shining through the blinds of my window. It's the start of the summer and I haven't anything planned. Great. I turn off my alarm, climb out of the bed and drag myself to the bathroom just to realize that my shirt is missing. Must of pulled it off in the middle of the night. Anyways, I have to get dressed for something that my sister insisted on dragging me into. Today is gonna be a long day.

"Levi! If you don't hurry up, we're leaving without you!"

"Good! I didn't want to go anyways!" My sister Carolyn is always getting me mixed into things.

"Get a move on, you know we aren't leaving without you!"

I groan while combing through my hair, wishing I could have figured a way out of this.

I walk downstairs, dressed in a pair of my dark blue jeans, a black shirt with a skull on it, and my converses. If they didn't like it, then, oh well-- at least I got dressed.

"What took you so long? We've been waiting for hours." Carolyn made sure to emphasize that they've waited a while. "I'm starved! Any longer and Christmas would be here. And why do you look like you're dressed like a goth or something?"

"Stop your whining, at least I agreed to this stupid- whatever it is. I can dress however I want." At this point, I didn't even really care what I looked like, they should be happy I even got out the bed before noon.

"It's a road trip, you dumbass. Stop acting like a shit-head and go get in the car."

"If this is a road trip, then why didn't you tell me to pack a bag?" Now I sound really annoyed and slam the car door after I get into the beat-up Chevy.

"Because if I told you, then you wouldn't have come along." Carolyn's giving me a big smile. "We can just get you some more clothes when we get there."

"Will you at least tell me where we are going?" I give her a glare. Instead of her answering me, she just pulls out of the driveway, smiling.
