After about an hour we head over to the house we considered.

We pull into the yard and a young girl walks out the front door and calls for someone else who's inside before stepping down the stairs to greet us, "Hi, I'm Elizabeth,  but you're welcome to call me Liz," she stretches her hand out to my sister, "you must be the one I spoke to on the phone earlier right?"

"Yes ma'am, that's me. I'm Carolyn, and this is my brother Levi. We're visiting from Phoenix, Arizona. We decided to take a trip and get away from the folks."

Liz looked at me so I looked down trying to avoid eye contact. It's never been one of my strong suits so I try to avoid it all together, especially with strangers...I looked over to the dog who was barking earlier but stopped after a few and sat patiently.

"Well c'mon, I'll show you the room, and a little bit of the house so we can see if you like it and would be comfortable staying here if you decide to," We followed her into the front door where we were greeted by an older woman who was cooking an early meal. "That's my grandmother, Louise, she likes to cook early on Sunday's so we can kinda eat on it all day."

Ms. Louise asked how we were and where we were from and we told her just the same as we told her grand- daughter.

"Oh that's a nice place, I remember visiting there a long while back with my first husband. He was a trucker and I was riding with him at the time and he left me to for a couple of call-girls." She seemed to have this sorrowful look on her face, "but if he'd of never done that then I'd of never met the man who gave me the kids I have today and the reason I have her," she pointed to Liz who'd stepped outside to give the dog fresh water while we were talking, "she's my pride and joy now, I've taken care of that girl practically since she was born."

Liz came back a couple minutes later, "Sorry about that, he needed some fresh water and was hoping we had some bones or something for him from cooking."

I finally spoke after a while, "it's okay, we have a dog back home too...he's a bit spoiled from my parents but that's alright."

She smiled pretty big, and had an amazing smile too, "c'mon, this is the way to the room."

She led us down a hallway to a second door on the left and showed us a rather large room that had two twin beds in it, "we put two twin beds in here incase there were people sleeping separate, or they're able to push them together and use a full sheet if they'd prefer."

"Two beds are great, very smart actually," my sister is always trying to make friends by complimenting their intelligence. "This is actually a lot for only $75, are you sure we can't offer more?"

"Oh no, no, certainly not. That price is only to help with the food that we feed guest, and with the bills for the usage. We do the cheap room because you never know when some one needs it in a hurry," she was proud that she could help people who needed it, you could see the little glow in her face. "Wanna see more of the house?"

I jumped in before my sister could, "no need, we'll take it!"

My sister eyeballed me for several moments, "Are you sure? I just want to be certain. Did you want to see the bathroom or anything?" Liz offered.

"Nah, I think this'll do just fine, thank you so much though," my sister punched me in the shoulder after Liz turned around. I don't know what came over me, but I know found us a place in no time I suppose.

A/N: I know this chapter is really long, I got a bit carried away. I hope you like it either way though.

I know it's taken a while to get back to this story and I'm sorry, but I'm back and ready to go.
