The first time I woke up, there was yelling.

"What the hell, Nico!"

"Well I'm sorry, an actual goddess of love said this to me, so I think she'd know better than anyone!"

"When have you ever listened to the gods? Why now?"

"...."

"Please, Nico don't do this."

"I'm sorry Will. But its over."

"Nico! Please!"

A heard a door shut, and muffled sobs.

The next time I woke up, there was singing.

Now the night is coming to an end.

What?

Oh, oh oh.

Is that Twenty One Pilots?

The sun will rise and we will try again. Oh, oh oh.

I lay still as the mystery person sang, letting the words wash over me.

Stay alive, stay alive for me.

A warm, tingly sensation spread over my feet and arms.

You will die but now your life is free. Take pride in what is sure to die.

I opened my eyes and looked around.

I will fear the night again. Oh, oh oh.

There was a guy about 16 at the foot of the bed, with curly golden hair and tanned skin.

I hope I'm not my only friend. Oh, oh oh.

He had his eyes closed, so he didn't know I was awake yet. His voice was soft and sweet, hitting the high notes perfectly.

Stay alive, stay alive for me. You will die but now your life is free. Take pride in what is sure to do.

His voice faded away, and he let out a soft breathe. It was quiet now, and I couldn't see anything else with a blanket wrapped around me like a burrito. The guy stretched his arms out and yawned, sitting up. As he began to open his eyes and stand up I shut mine and pretended to be asleep. I felt him leaning over me and I tensed, waiting.

After a moment of silence, he let out a soft chuckle and said, "I know you're awake, Rose." I opened my eyes to see his blue ones staring into mine. There were dark circles underneath his eyes, and it looked like he'd been crying. "My name is Will, by the way. Will Solace." He began unwrapping me from the blankets.

I sighed as the blankets were undone, cooling me down. Will helped me to sit up, and handed me my glasses. "Thanks," I said, looking around. "Where am I, exactly?"

Will smiled and said softly, "Welcome to Delta High, Rose. School for demigods and other magical creatures."

I pinched myself, just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Ouch.

Nope, definitely real.

I looked around at the spacious room, built of marble columns and stained glass windows depicting the birth of... Athena? Ew, gross. Did not need to see that.

Beds lined the walls, complete with a side table and lamp. Some of them were occupied with other people, all my age. It looked like one guy's skin was green, and another had yellow butterflies flying around their head.
