I'm going to continue from a day after the last scene. The chapter is titled a half a lie because it's a little half lie-but it is still a chapter.

This is still part of the story! Still told from Victoria's POV!

Victoria-

He was gorgeous. Brown hair buzzcut, loose ACDC t-shirt, eyes that made everything better.

His name was Hayden.

And he was walking straight towards me.

Hayden was my brother's roommate's little brother.

The same boy I had a spring fling with last year.

Right beside Hayden was Marcus and my brother Edward.

My eyes widened at the sight of my brother who seemed to have grown smarter and bulkier despite his geeky glasses.

"Vicky!" he waved at me, a grin on his face. I found myself both nervous and happy to see him.

You must understand, we are decent siblings, but I have never once said I'm so glad to have Edward as a brother.

Because he is the last person an ADHD, test anxiety, fashionista wants as a brother.

"Hey,Ed," I gave a humble wave.

Still grinning, he closed the distance with an embrace.

However, I knew sibling happiness would not last.

He was calming, his muscle tight with his Harvard shirt.

I smelled his Massachusettes, old books smell. It was the same smell I got when I passed by his empty room.

After shifting awkwardly away the other two boys came into view.

Up Close, I could see Hayden sparkling, electric blue eyes that seemed almost inhuman.

But they were incredible.

This "fling" I was referring to was a date we went on last year.

But it was an amazing disaster.

"This is Marcus and Hayden, you met them last year...right?" my brother asked.

I nodded, trying to remain calm as Hayden offered me his hand.

"I remember you... you were friends with the hot, pink haired girl," he sent me a smirk.

My stomach dropped as he mentioned my former best friend.

I wasn't sure if she ever had the abortion because her mom found out and sent her to live with her Aunt in Ohio.

Except, I told her mom. It was my fault she left.

Haven't heard from her since.

And I wish I could go a day without thinking about her.

I nodded, solemnly, "Yeah, Emmarie."

He rose his eyebrows, "She won't be around will she?"

I shook my head, hoping now I could have a chance.

"That sucks," he groaned, but then cast the whole thing aside, because I knew he was glad to see me.

"How was your guys' flight?" I asked, leaning back into the plush couch.

"Alright," Ed huffed, collapsing on his beloved couch.

"Fine," Marcus agreed, collapsing beside my brother.
