Ode To Inspiration

You made us laugh on the worst days.

I spent hours thinking from your inspiration,

Thinking of a future for me that you would like.

Everything you said,

It stuck like glue.

Your conversations sparked ideas,

Your lessons were like stories,

I wrote them down and now I wish I could have more.

You said a teacher told you once what you wrote and said was short but precise,

It was so true,

And I wish I could be more like you.

You inspire every day,

And I miss your confidence in me.

I wish I could go back to the time when we all joked and laughed.

You said I would know what to do,

That was true too.

But you never said it would be easy, it wasn't.

You gave me the courage to do what was right,

Even if I wanted to do more.

Your words were meant for something smaller,

But they have grown every day,

Even a simple smile made me happy.

You believed in me.

If I sent this to you,

Would you know it was from me, Would you know it was for you?

I hope so,

Because I know I will see you again.

And if I ever send this,

I might mention it to you,

If I can.

Until then,

Know your knowledge served me well.

And inspired me to find more,

No matter how hard it was or is.

Thank you.
