Ethan's mother can hear his screams from the other room, and runs in to wake him up. "Ethan! Ethan! Wake up! Baby what's wrong! Wake up!" She screams while trying to wake Ethan up from his nightmare. He shoots up from his slumber like a rocket, and grabs his mother. "Mom?" He says with a very quiet voice. "Yes E." She replies with concern wondering why her son was having nightmares. "Ca- ca- can" he stutters. "Well come on now, spit it out." "Can you go make me some hot chocolate please?"

Ethan's mother instantly shot out of bed and ran to the kitchen knowing that when her son ask for hot chocolate it's time to get serious and talk. Moments later she calls up the stairs to her son, "Ethan! Your drink is ready." As he walks into the kitchen and pulls out the wooden chair to have a seat, she placed the cup down in front of him. He looks over at his mom before taking a sip.

"Mom" he starts off " I did something really bad," and drops his head in guilt. "Well what was it that you did?" She asks with a concerned face knowing that her son doesn't have the best reputation. " You know my new 'girlfriend' Tiffany?" "Yes. Why?" "Well remember when I told you that Caitlin and I broke up because I didn't want to do the long distance relationship?" "Yes?" She questions. "Well I didn't break up with her. I cheated on her with Tiffany, so I called her to tell her because I felt guilty and I wanted to make everything right again." Lucy stays quiet.

As they sat in silence a tear falls down Ethan's face. He starts to remember all the good there was being with Caitlin. He burst out into tears once he finally realized that he'll never get her back. Ethan's mom sees how distraught he is. She stands up and walks over to the other side of the table. *smack*  Ethan's let's out a loud scream and looks up at his mom. "What was that for!? " She gives him an evil look and grabs the cup of hot chocolate, making her way towards the sink  leaving Ethan clueless as to why he got smacked upside his head. He gets up and follows to stand beside her. "Look" she starts off " I honestly don't know what to tell you Ethan. I'm just really shocked at the fact that you cheated on Caitlin. She's such a sweet girl, and you obviously didn't care for her or love her if you could just throw everything you guys had together away like that." She pauses for a minute, then continues. "Let me ask you this, was it worth it? Knowing that everything you guys worked for and everything she had done for you after-" she stops.

"Mom, I did and still do love her.  I don't know why I did that. I guess I was lonely." Ethan's mom instantly drops the cup that she was washing, and turns around to face him. " You sound a lot like your father. That poor girl is probably over there balling her eyes out thinking she wasn't good enough for you. That smack I gave you was because of that. YOU SOUND LIKE YOUR FATHER! " She yells as all the blood runs up to her face making it red. Ethan drops his head knowing what it was his father had done. And he did the same thing to Caitlin. "Listen you need to make this right." She says once she finally calms down. "How?" He asks desperately. "Go see her."
