"What colour is it?" The teenager asked, hurriedly.
"Blue." The adult replied.
"No, it's not." The child interrupted.
"It's blue." The adult said, stubbornly.
"It's green." The child whined.
"You aren't helping!" The teenager yelled.
"It. Is. Blue." Announced the adult.
"It's green!" The child screamed.
"All of you, shut up!" The teenager screeched, crossing their arms.
"You shut up!" The child replied.
"STOP!" The adult yelled powerfully
Dead silence fell over the room. The room with walls of an undefined colour.
For a few, tedious, deadly moments, the only sound in the room was the heartbeats of the three.
And then they all heard it.
The rumbling.
The floor beneath them began to shiver, cracks forming, snaking their way across, towards them.
The child began to cry, hysterically.
The teenager's breath was fast and short, as they shook from fear.
The adult's eyes grew wide, as they tried to grab onto the walls.
The cracks on the floor grew wider.
Pieces of the cold floor of an unknown colour began to fall into the black abyss below.
The child screamed.
The adult began to plead for help before the destruction reached them.
An inhuman scream spilled from the mouth of the adult as they fell.
The teenager let loose a heart-wrenching sob.
Despite the tragedy, the floor didn't hesitate in its destruction.
It took the child next, providing no peace as they fell.
It was only the teenager now.
The teenager was crying, their howls echoing down into the darkness below them.
And the floor kept breaking.
And the floor kept breaking.
And the floor kept breaking.
One final scream rang throughout the room as the teenager flew down, through the empty air.
The room was silent now.
No words.
No heartbeats.
There was no floor left.
Only a roof,
and four walls.
The walls were red.
I wrote this in Writing Club, and it was pretty great. I get that it's sad and stuff, but I just felt inspired to write something like this, and I actually kind of liked it.
