The Quest (part 1)

Percy's POV

It's a week after the battle with Gaea, and I'm still super tired. No wonder Annabeth is sleeping late so much.

I'm sitting on the lake, yeah on the lake, thinking, when a hear splashing going on behind me.

"Come on Seaweed Brain! You can't stay on the water forever!" annabeth shouted to me. She was wearing her favorite bathing suit, the one she always wears when we go swimming together.

Just as she jumped in the water, the conch horn blew, and we had the go to the counselor meeting. Again.

Annabeth and I walked into the big house, annabeth dripping wet, with a towel over her head, to see, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, Leo, Thalia, Nico and Chiron.

Chiron said, "Children, sit down."
We happily obliged. It's been a long day.

He said, "I have to inform you of something very..." he trailed off.
"Very what?" Annabeth said. she always needed to know something about what we were doing.

"Weird." Chiron decided.
"Well, what is it?" Jason asked.
"Have you children ever heard of..." he then said on a low voice, "Wizards?"
Leo started laughing so hard, tears formed in his eyes.
"Oh my gods! Oh, that's rich! Oh, you were being serious..."

Gods, sometimes Leo can be infuriating! I thought.

Annabeths POV

"Wizards!" I exclaimed.
"Woah." Percy whispered to himself.
"I've never heard of witches and wizards before." Hazel said.
"Of course you've never heard of them! They work in secret!" Leo crossed his arms, and said with a smirk. Frank swatted Leo's arm and Leo pouted.

"The only thing is, only four of you can go." Chiron said. I immediately said, "Well, I'm not going if Percy isn't!"

I couldn't possibly bear being without Percy. Even for a few days. We were... well, horrified from our time in Tartarus. We can't even go to bed without each other.

"I want to go." Thalia said.
"Me too." Nico agreed.
"Well, I wan to go, but I'm not leaving Annabeth. Annie, do you wan to come with us?" Percy asked.
I smiled a bit before answering, "Of course Seaweed Brain!"
