Jayce is rushing to the hospital.
"I don't u-understand.....what is going on?",I saw quietly because if I talk to loud I know I will burst into tears.
"Ma'am,I am going to need you to calm down",one of the nurses calmly says. I slowly get my breath even.
"Your husband is having a reaction to some pills that he mixed with alcohol. We pumped his stomach and we are currently giving him IV fluids. I am sorry to ask, but I have to. Is your husband suicidal?",the nurse, who I now realized had a name tag that read Heather and had long black hair with steel gray eyes, asked me cautiously.
"No,not at all", I said with no hesitation.
"Well, his liver is inflamed. Which is called Cirrhosis. That is caused by over drinking. With that much inflammation I would assume that he is drowning himself in alcohol".
"There is nothing wrong with him. He is perfectly happy. In fact,we are perfectly happy. "
"Okay, sorry ma'am. I just had to ask. Standard procedure",she gave a shy smile then walked away. I was by myself again. I just sat there. I didn't know what to do. I stared at the wall lost in my own world. Jayce has to make it. I can't live without him. I can't function without him. Jayce, please be okay. I love you.
