Many hours later I am woken up by someone shaking me.

"Commander Adeline, please wake up! The barbarians are attacking a town to the North."
A voice yells. I strike my fist out and punch whomever woke me up.

"I was just dozing off, and this is what I get?"
I yell and sit up. Oops, I just knocked a maid out.
I should probably hurry and run to the army of barbarians.
I do so and stand glaring down. My Knights are already here. So why the hell aren't they attacking?

"Damn, that was fast."
One of the Knights mutters.
I have no armour or anything, just my night clothes. No weapons either. Damn it, I'm such an idiot.
The barbarians start laughing and making sexist comments. That just pisses me off even more.

"I'm woken up, in the middle of the night, for this?! For a simple army with misogynist soldiers who underestimate their enemy!"
I scream and charge, taking down their leader. At least, I think he's the leader. Meh, I'll set an example anyways.

"Chief!"
A man yells. I grin, looks like I guessed correctly.

"This, is what happens when you piss off the Commander of Camelot's Holy Knights. Do not waste my time, or you will end up like your chief."
I threaten and show each of them the body. Straight through the heart, no chance of survival.

"Go back to your little village and stay there. If you come back, you'll end up like this. Oh, no you won't. I'll leave you to suffer a slow and painful death. You could be alive for days, wishing it to end, and I'll enjoy watching you suffer. You've been warned, so piss off!"
I yell and they all scatter to the wind. I let the body fall and slowly make my way back to the Capitol. My Knights follow after me.

"Damn, she's sadistic and hot."
One of my knights mutters under his breath. It takes everything in my being to not punch him.
I stop the pouting men as we enter Camelot.

"You were all useless. Where was my backup? What if I had made a wrong move? What if they had retaliated? I'm without a weapon and armour. What would you have done if they had attacked me? Nothing. Because by the time you would've reacted, I would've been dead."
I yell. They all lower their heads in shame. By the time we arrive back at the castle, it's mid morning.

"Extra training tomorrow, no excuses."
I snap and leave them in the armoury.
Merlin is waiting for me. As soon as I see her face, I sigh loudly.

"Rough day?"
She asks with a smirk.

"Rough doesn't even begin to cover it."
I pout and then drop onto the grass.

"They're all great fighters when they get going, but they lack the initiative that Holy Knights in Liones have."
I complain loudly. Merlin laughs at my problem.

"I'm sure it's not too bad."
She reasons. I shake my head.

"It is, I charged in and they all stood on the hill, looking completely lost. I had no armour or anything, the enemy could have attacked me. If that had happened, they wouldn't have reached me in time and I'd have no choice. I never want to lose control again. It's frightening to say the least, and I can't distinguish friend or foe. Except Meliodas, but you know why that is. Do you get what I'm saying? About the Knights, I mean."
I look at Merlin with sad eyes. She nods slowly.

"I think I do. You need someone there, helping you through those battles. All the Knights do is stand and watch. Maybe you should order them to attack first, see what they do."
She suggests with a playful smirk. I nod, liking her idea.

"Thanks, I might just do that. I'm glad you understand what I'm talking about."
I say and hug her in thanks.

"Wanna plan a training regime with me?"
I ask and smile sweetly. Merlin groans but nods.
