"My Lady! Help us! Please, my Lady!"
The voices begged and pleaded as the darkness was trapped.

"Meliodas! Help us, help your clan!"
A dark haired demon begged. His blonde counterpart turned and walked away, leaving his brother to become sealed.
A lone girl with long locks stood silent, tears running down her face. Blood stained her pale skin and silk dress.

"My Lady, it's time to go."
The blonde demon informed the girl. She turned her back on the sealing and lowered her head.

"Why must they suffer? Why not put them out of their misery?"
She thought aloud as she followed her guard.

"It's for the best, my Lady."
The blonde replied.

"But-"
She started only to be cut off by a Grey Demon appearing before them. It swung it's hand and sent the blonde demon soaring. Soon after it became sealed, along with the entirety of the demon clan save two. The Lady looked around frantically, searching for her guard. She spotted him, unconscious on the ground.

"Meliodas!"
She yelled to him.
~
"Meliodas!"
I sit up with a scream, sweat covering my body and tears falling.
After a minute I realise it was just a dream, a memory really. That memory used to torture me every day for many years, but my team made it stop. Now it's back.
Bailey whinnies beside me and nudges my hand with her head.

"I'm fine. Shall we move on?"
I reassure her. She snorts in reply, obviously wanting more sleep.

"I know, I know. But the sooner we leave, the sooner we will arrive in the capital and you can rest. Sound good?"
I ask, trying to compromise. Bailey raises her head and whinnies. I'll take that as a yes.
I quickly put the fire out and pack everything away. I mount Bailey and kick her into a canter.
We camped about half a day away Camelot so we should be there before midday.
The sun soon rises and the temperature rises. Bailey slows her pace in the heat. I'm forced to pull her into the shade and towards a river.

"Have a drink, girl. It's hot and you've been pushing yourself hard for me. Thank you."
I smile and pat her head.
A twig snaps and an old enemy steps forward.

"Hello, barbarian. Ready for a second ass kicking?"
I ask sweetly, drawing my sacred treasure. The barbarian remains silent, raising his club in response.

"Look, it's been a long day and I'm really not in the mood for this. Bailey and I just want to return home, so could you just leave?"
I ask with a sigh. I've gotten soft, offering to let an enemy go free.

"I won't leave. You kill chief. Make you pay."
He grunts, charging at me.

"That was years ago, let it go."
I say as I try to dodge, but the dirt below me gives way and I slip. The barbarian's club swings down and hits my stomach. I scream and cough up blood, but I can't let that hold me back.
I roll out of the way, despite the pain, and push myself up. I raise Imperia and glare at the barbarian.

"Lucky shot. But you're gonna regret that."
I growl and swing. Angry attacks never work for me, but this time I'm determined as well. That's the best combination.
Within seconds, the barbarian falls in defeat.

"C'mon Bailey, time to go. Camelot isn't too far away."
I call my mare. She trots over, looking refreshed.

"Thanks for the help, stupid hor-"
I'm cut off by a sword through my shoulder. I stumble forward, the blade pulling free. It's a Holy Blade so it stings like a bitch, it also means it will take a while to heal.
