Holly Would You Turn Me On? (Alex Gaskarth)

2: All Fun and Games

Alex's POV:

I should have told her. Fuck why can't I do anything right?! My chance was right there and I blew it. Damn it! Zack grabs Holly and throws her and himself into the pool. Jack looks at me and I already know, my face has to be red. They emerge and Holly splashes Zack and he has the biggest grin on his face and picks her up and throws her across the pool.

"Fuck me." I mutter to myself then notice Tasha and her friend Alyssa walking over to me. I try to lighten up some.

"Hey baby." Tasha says kissing my cheek and I smile weakly and put my arm around her waist.

"Hey." It use to feel so normal, now, it doesn't feel the same. Like its foreign territory.

"Let's swim!" She says kicking off her flip flops and taking her sun dress off.

She looks in the direction of the pool then back at me.

"Why did you invite Holly?" She says whispering to me so no one could hear her.

"She's all of our friend Tasha."

"Whatever." She says rolling her eyes at me before dipping her toes into the water then gets in.

Everyone is in the pool and I'm just sitting here like an idiot watching. Zack is flirting with Holly and it's so obvious. It pisses me off. Why can't I decide if I want to be with her or Tasha? Ugh, this sucks. I shake it off and jump in the pool and swim over to Jack, then splash him. After a little bit I found myself watching Holly and Zack, the way he touched her, the way she smiles. That should be me, not Zack. I try to not making it that obvious I was watching.

We spent all day swimming and having a good time until it was dusk and we made a fire in the fire ring. It was getting chilly and surprisingly Holly brought a hoodie and sweats. Smart girl. She knows us too well. Tasha and Alyssa left to go spend the night at Chrissy's house, so it was us four boys and Holly. Just like every other night, except something felt different this time.

"I think we should play spin the bottle!" Jack says spontaneously then winks at me. I catch his drift, he was trying to help me out here. It was a childish way but that's one way to get the gears turning. Thank god for Jack.

"Yeah that sounds fun, get to relive being 12 again." Holly says with excitement. I nod my head and grab an empty Gatorade bottle from the table to use as the spinner.

Zack spins it first; it lands on Rian.

Sigh of relief.

Jack spins; I have to kiss him.

No biggie we're bros.

Holly spins; Jack.

It's cool, it's cool.

Rian spins; Jack.

It's my turn to spin; Zack.

We start over.

Zack's turn; Holly.

My heart falls into my stomach, jealously was obviously all over my face. I'm so crushed. They kiss and move on.

Jack spins; Rian.

Holly spins; me.

I sat in shock as she leans over and kisses me softly and pulls away, her lips lingering just a little. I wish she didn't pull away. I wish I could just wrap her tightly in my arms and never let her go.

Rian; Zack.

My turn; Holly, once again.

My heart drops, except for a good reason. I lean over and press my lips to her soft ones.

Holly's POV:

Me and Alex kiss again and he firmly presses his lips to mine. I don't want him to stop, I've craved this for far too long. I don't pull away from him this time and he doesn't either. He deepens the kiss by holding my face in his hands. Then I realize, we are still in front of the guys. I pull away from him; blushing if embarrassment also wishing I didn't stop. Alex is blushing, Rian looks bewildered, Jack was grinning like a mad man and Zack looks upset. I scoot away from Alex and check my phone. I got a text and it was from my mom. She told me that her and dad got into a big fight so to just stay at Alex's. Before she would never let me stay over at Alex's but as me and him started to get older my mom trusts us more.I reply to her saying I will, to be careful and that I love her. We stop playing spin the bottle and just sat around the fire enjoying it.

"Hey Alex?

"Hm?" He says looking over at me.

"Can I stay tonight? My parents got into a huge fight."

"Yeah sure. I'll take the couch."

"Thanks I owe you one. I'm going to head in. I'm exhausted. Night guys."

I go around giving them each a hug and head into the house and upstairs to Alex's room. I take off my sweat pants so I'm only in a hoodie and shorts. I shut his door and crawl in his comfy bed putting in my headphones. I lay there listening to music getting lost with the time. The events from just a few minutes ago racing through my head. Did I really like Alex that much?
