chapter six

We pulled up in front of a big building.
"I talked to the worker this morning, she said if you answer a few questions for her we can sign the papers today and we'll have custody of  you by the end of the day" Andy told me
"Yay" I said. Andy pulled me closer to him. I smiled and lean into him. I love my big brother, he makes me feel safe and loved and I haven't felt that way in a long time. There's only one other person that can make me feel safe and that wa-

"Earth to amethyst" Andy said snapping me out if my thoughts
"Yea?" I answered
"Its time" he said grabbing my hand
"Ok" I said.
We walked into the office where a blonde woman with glasses was sitting. She told us to listen and we did as she said.
"Hi Amethyst, my name is Sarah" Sarah said holding her hand out for me to shake. I shook her hand and she continued speaking. "I'm going to ask you a few questions, just answer honestly"
"Okay" I said shyly
(S=Sarah a= amethyst An=Andy j=Juliet)

S- "where is your father?"
A- "dead"
S- "I'm sorry to hear that" she said as she was typing into a computer "what about your mother?"
A- "presumed to be dead"
S-"do you have any other other siblings? "
A- "not that I know of"
S- "how are you two related?" Sarah asked Andy
A-"her dad was w donner for my mom and my mom was a diner for them"
S-"so full siblings?"
A-"yes" Andy and I said together "
S- "amethyst, do you want to live with the biersacks?"
A-"yes" I answered as quickly as possible which made Andy smiles
S-" and I assume you two want her to like with you?"
An&j-"undoubtedly "
S-"alrighty, just a few more questions " Sarah said typing more into the computer
S- "amethyst how do you feel in the biersack home?"
A-"safe and loved"
S-"good" she said with a smile.
S-"alright all I need know is a few people to call and say they think you'll be good guardians of amethyst and we'll be done" Sarah said smiling
An-"ok, here " Andy said giving her all the guy's numbers, his parents, and a few other friends. Juliet did the same.
S- "okay, I'll call these numbers and I'll get back to you tomorrow"
An&j- "thank you so much"
S- "no problem, have a nice day"
"You too" Andy Juliet and I said in unison.

"C'mon kiddo let's go home" Andy said and kissed my forehead.
I hugged him and said "I love you buba"
Hey hugged me back lifting me up off the ground "I love you too munchkin" Andy said with a smile. We got in the car and headed home.

*skipping the car ride*

Once we got home Andy came with me into my room to help me take everything out so we could paint my room.
After we got all the furniture out Andy went and got the paint out of his car that we got on our way home.
I picked three different shades if blue and a green.
When Andy got back we put a plastic covering over the carpet and I opened the paint. I separated the paint into different containers.

Once I was done painting, my wall made it look like my room was under water. It was awesome, but it needed something else. I know what.
I ran down the stairs into the living room where Andy and Juliet were.
"Andy can you take me to an art supply store?" Asked Andy
"Why?" Andy asked
"Pleeeeaaaaase" I begged him with puppy dog eyes
"Fiiiine, only because you're so cute" he said while standing up and grabbing his keys "we'll be right back Jules" Andy said as he kissed her.
We drove about 15 minutes before arriving at the supply store.
"Yay" I said while jumping out of the car and staging Andy into the store.
"Why are you so excited kid?" Andy asked while trying to keep up with me
"Because art" I said grabbing more paint and brushes. " wait this won't be too expensive right?" I asked him
"Nope, get everything you want" he said with a smile
"Yay" I said excitedly grabbing more paint.
After about 20 minutes we were ready to go. We checked out then left.

We got home 15 minutes later. I jumped out of the car and grabbed two bags, because that's all I could carry. Andy grabbed the other three bags. I ran into the house.
"C'mon buba, hurry up" I called out to Andy
"Don't rush me punk, I'm carrying all your art shit" he said smiling
"You guys are so cute" Juliet said while recording us.
"Thanks" I said dragging Andy upstairs.

Andy set the bags in my room and left me to do my thing. I changed my clothes and started painting.
I painted a coral reef and decided that wasn't enough. So I painted some sea turtles and some jellyfish.
While I was putting the finishing touches on the jellyfish Juliet came in recording.
"You've been up here for hours what are yo- oh my god this is amazing!" Juliet said as she opened the door.
"Thank you" I said shyly
I climbed down from the step ladder I was on.  As soon as I came down Andy came over to me.
"You have paint all over your face" Andy said as he spit on his shirt and started cleaning my face
"Ewww" I said trying to get away, Andy just picked me up so I couldn't get away "I'm stronger than you, quit fighting me" Andy said with a chuckle.
"I am so putting that on Instagram" Juliet said smiling as she walked off.
Andy finally put me down and helped me clean up the paint while I washed my brushes.
"I didn't know you could paint so well Ame" Andy said
"Oh, thank you" I said awkwardly
"You're welcome, have you eaten today?"
"No" I answered
"C'mon, let's go get you some food" Andy said as he threw me over his shoulder
"Put me doooown" I demanded while I hit his back. Andy didn't listen, he just laughed the whole time he was carrying me. I noticed Juliet was recording us again which only made me want him to put me down more.
"Pleeeease buba?" I begged as I sat up in his arms.
"Fiiiiiine" Andy said as he put me down and booped  my nose. I responded with sticking my tongue out.
"And there's another video for Instagram" Juliet said with a laugh.
My phone buzzed so I took it out of my back pocket and looked at it. I was tagged in three things. I didn't see them earlier cause I haven't been on my phone much lately. The first was a picture of me sleeping on Andy's lap with my head rested on his chest and him kissing my forehead. The next was the video of when they came in my room and saw what I painted. And the third was the one she just recorded. I liked all of them and started looking at some of the comments. Most were nice but a few of them were pretty mean.
" where do you want to go to eat kiddo?" Andy asked me.
"Taco bell!" I said excitedly
"Alright to taco bell we go" he said ruffling my hair with his hand.
"Yay" I said as I put my shoes.
We got in the car and drove about five minutes before we got to the taco bell. We ordered our food then decided to go to a movie store and get some movies.
As soon as we pulled into the drive way I ran out and put one of  the movies on.
"Someone's excited" Juliet said.
"What did you put in?" Andy asked
"One of the scary movies" I said
"You two are definitely related" Juliet said as she rolled her eyes
"Yep" Andy said popping the 'p'
I sat next to Andy on the couch as we watched TV. We were both eating our food from taco bell. We both got chicken quesorittos with nacho cheese.
My phone buzzed so I checked what it was. Juliet tagged me in another picture of me and Andy. The caption said 'twinning'. Andy and I were taking a bite at the same time, we were both wearing a misfits shirt with ripped black skinny jeans and we both have black hair. I liked it and commented "this wasn't even planned".

" well I'm going to bed, its getting late" Juliet said
"Its only ten" Andy and I said in unison. We looked at each other and laughed.
"I have to go to the studio in the morning" Juliet said
"Oh ok" Andy and I said at the same time "ok, you're scaring me" we said in unison again "what the actual fuck?" We said in unison again and we burst out laughing as did Juliet who was recording again without us knowing.
"Ok, good night ya crazies" Juliet said as she walked up the stairs
"Night" we called out to her

Andy and I watched scary movies until I fell asleep which was around three in the morning.

I woke up in my bed. And ran down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Morning sleepy head" he said as he kissed the top of my head. I smiled and said "morning"
"Has the worker called yet?" I asked him.

"Yes she did" he said with a smile. "And she says we now have full custody of you"
