A/N: i hate putting authors notes at the beginning but honestly this is a warning that this is not my favorite chapter.

"I can't believe I let you guys talk me into this again." I exasperated.
"Oh whatever, you love us." Paisley waved her hand dismissively.
"Not right now I don't."
Eli closed the door to his truck walking around as the others made their way to Niki's car.
"You know we don't have to go tonight right?" Eli asked taking my hand in his as we drove through my neighborhood.
"Yes we do." I sighed. "If we don't how will those doofuses we call friends get home. They always drink too much."
"You have a point there." he said pulling my hand up to his lips, placing a kiss there.

After an hour of dancing we were all gathered at our table for a small break and enjoying some drinks. Tonight was different, for the first time since senior year Eli was actually drinking more than his usual one shot, or beer. When we got to the club Niki had told him that tonight she would be a driver because she didn't feel like drinking. I'd have to ask her about that later. It was so weird to see Eli like this. Usually when we went out he was fun but tense, and tonight he was completely carefree. I liked seeing him like this.
After a round of shots the rest of our group went to the dance floor as Eli pulled me onto his lap.
"You having fun?"
"Of course. I'm with you aren't I?"
"Good to hear." He said kissing my neck.
I leaned into his shoulder resting my head on his.
"Hey why don't you go get us some drinks while I go to the restroom?" I suggest, pushing myself from Elis lap after a few songs had played.
"Okay. What do you want?" He asks.
"Just water since it looks like I'll be driving us home I should probably cut myself off." I chuckle.

She had a point about how she was going to have to drive us home now, but I never really got the chance to drink and she never really liked to so I thought it would be okay when Nik told me she wouldn't drink tonight.
While I was waiting for our drinks, one beer and one bottle of water, I heard a bunch of squeals from the group beside me. When I glanced over I noticed one of them was wearing a sash the read "BRIDE" in bold pink letters.
"When's the big day?" I asked the blond nodding at her sash.
"Two days." She said a smile taking over her face.
I nod. "Congratulations."
"Thanks." She said turning back to her friends as I take a drink from the cold glass the bartender just handed me.
I vaguely heard her tell her friends that she was going to the restroom and next thing I know I have very drunk bride to be in my arms.
