I can't believe I let him sleep in my room. In my bed. With me! Oh, and the look on Eli's face when he saw us, that was just priceless. I don't think I've ever seen such shock, amusement and horror all in one look.

Waking up for the second time that morning I was not surprised that we were still so close. However, I was surprised to see Eli staring at us just calmly eating toast in my doorway. I gently removed myself from the circle of Chris's arms, placing a pillow where I had just been. Before the door was even closed Eli was talking at warp speed.

"What happened last night? Did you seriously sleep with the guy? Man, Kat you weren't wasting anytime! I just can't believe it. I knew you guys still had a thing for each other but seriously? You guys couldn't have waited longer than the first night we are all back together?..."

I stand there patiently as he has his little moment of distress.

"Seriously Kat you aren't going to answer any of my questions? You are killing me! Tell me something!"

"If you would shut up long enough for me to answer I would so are you done yet?"

"Yes I'm done." He sighs impatiently

"Okay. Good. Now, nothing happened last night. We just shared my bed no big deal"

"No big deal!" He yells interrupting me.

I grab his arm pulling him down the stairs and leading him to the living room and pushing him down onto the couch glaring at him.

"Yes it was no big deal. Nothing happened we literally just went upstairs and went to sleep after finishing three of our movies, two of which YOU slept through, might I add."

He looks guilty after I point that out.

"Okay, so what I fell asleep. There are other couches why didn't he take one of those or what about the guest room?"

"Seriously El? What is your problem with this?"

"I don't have a problem with this! It's just weird that you actually let the guy in your room after you haven't seen him in a year... it's not you. I mean I'm proud you stepped out of that tiny little comfort zone of yours but I'm worried about you. Are you sure it wasn't just to get back at your parents?"

"What was to get back at her parents?"

We both jumped at the sound of Chris' voice. Crap! When did he get there?

"Nothing man. Don't worry about it. You ready to go? I have to finish unpacking and we promised mom she could make us breakfast."

"El we have to talk about this." I said as calmly as possible.

"No we don't. Just think about what I said. Don't worry about it. I love you okay? You coming to dinner tonight? Mom wanted me to ask."

"Yeah. I'll be over around 6"

Before walking out the door he gives me a hug and kisses me on the forehead. When he's out the door Chris comes to me.

"You okay? You seem a bit upset."

"Yeah Chris. I'm good." I say running my hand down the side of my face.

"Okay" he said uneasily "if you need anything or just want to talk text or call, okay?"

"Okay. I will."

He leans in and kisses my cheek. And whispers in my ear:

"Thanks for last night. Next to you was the best sleep I've had in months."
