"Yanno...I could get used to this view." I say from my floating chair in the pool.

"So could I." Eli replies with a wink from the roof.

God! He is gorgeous. I can't help but stare as he works on the roof replacing shingles and cleaning the rain gutters. Luckily it's warm so he can't actually see me blush at his words.

"Are you going to swim or stare at me all day?" Eli asked sitting at the edge of the roof.

He's already finished everything else on the list for today so as soon as he's finished up there he can come down and swim with me. Luckily everything he had to do was in the backyard so I've spent the entire day watching him from this floating chair. While he has worked his way around the yard completing multiple things for his mom, most while shirtless-praise jesus. I have been here drinking my tea and enjoying the nice summer day.

"I'm supervising remember? Are you gonna wear a shirt or sport a sunburn for a week? Don't get me wrong I am completely okay with shirtless Eli, I'm just lookin out for you." I shoot back with a smirk.

"Aw. I love that you're looking out for me, but I know you well enough to know that you will still make sure to 'accidentally' slap my sunburn, if I do actually get one. Which I won't." he smiles cockily as he gets up and begins to descend from the roof.

It was probably true. He rarely ever gets sunburnt, and I'm totally jealous of that. I had already reapplied sunscreen, that's why I was floating on the chair, waiting to be sure it is completely soaked into my lamely sensitive skin.

Next thing I know Eli is taking off his shoes and rolling his jeans sitting at the edge of the pool.

"Come here." He says with a smile.

I look at him wearily. I'm not sure I trust him not to flip me, but I have my tea so he wouldn't flip me with it would he? I slowly paddle over to him, when I'm close enough he grabs the chair to pull me the rest of the way. I drop my sunglasses on the pool deck and look up at him.

"Can I have a drink?" he asks leaning in, smiling that million watt smile.

      "I don't know can you?"

He sighs loudly at my remark

"May I have a drink of your tea? Pleaassse?"

"Okay. But only because you are really cute when you beg." I say leaning forward kissing his cheek while I pass him the glass.

"Thank you gorgeous." He says pulling me back to him and placing a kiss on my lips before I suddenly flip backwards off of my raft and into the water.

When I emerge from the cold water I see that my chair was tipped upside down and I glare at a laughing Eli who is walking inside.

"I wasn't going to flip you and until you turned 'can I' against me. I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere."

I still hear his laughter as he slides the door shut.

Five minutes later, when Eli came back, I was swimming laps. I used to do this all the time but I hate public pools so I only get to do it when we are home in the summer. My laps were interrupted when there was a sudden wave throughout the pool. Uhg Eli. I stopped mid stroke and flipped my hair out of my face.

      "Seriously? Was that necessary?"

"Probably not, but you still love me right?" he says swimming toward me with puppy-dog eyes.
