10:15
The boy who shot at me just two hours ago now points a gun at my best friend. The sound of a sudden burst cracks the air. First the boy falls to the ground, bleeding.
I turn to see a police officer running towards us.
Thank God, I sigh in relief.
I here screaming coming from Corey's general direction. Why are they screaming? We are saved aren't we?
I look over a Skye. Her face is pale and she is clutching her stomach. Blood covers her hands and she looses her balance.
Instincts come in and I reach to catch her.
"Oh no, Skye?"
Her breathing is forced and her eyes are glassy. I sit down with her in my lap; holding her with a grip so tight that not even death could take her. Tears spill from her blue eyes like a damm breaking into a crystal lake.
Paramedics flood the area and lift Skye onto a gurney. My hand still gripping her cold one, I run down the hall which is now flooded with kids.
It was over and we were safe, yet I haven't felt so panicked in my life.
