V I O L E TI have two very major problems with Leo Valdez.
The first one is that he's decided it's his personal responsibility to finish the Argo II by the end of the summer and if he doesn't, then the entire world is going to blow up or something.
I can respect that- it's just that it's the only thing that damn boy thinks about. Or talks about. Or does.
And he's one of my closest friends (through no fault of my own, I assure you- he's like a freaking leech or something, he just adopts you and then like that, boom, you've got him for life.)
So for the past two weeks all I've heard is Argo II, if I fix the diagram do you think it'll fly smoother, and if I adjust the tracking device will it hide us from monsters?
Yeah, no. There's only so much of that I can take, and I passed the line about a week and a half ago.
The other problem is freaking Violet. As a person who has suffered sixteen years with the name 'Violet', I thought that I'd suffered every single 'roses are red, violets are blue,' poem possible.
But no.
Leo Valdez has taken it upon himself to create a new (and usually ridiculously bad) rhyme for every time he sees me.
His friends, Piper and Jason, find it absolutely hilarious. Needless to say, I don't.
'Hey, Violet,' Leo began as he saw me passing.
He was sitting at a table by the basketball courts with Jason and Piper, his feet propped up on Jason's lap. Jason and Piper were looking at a map that Leo was holding, but the both glanced up at Leo's call.
Jason started to grin. He found it hilarious when I got angry (which was often).
Jason had decided that I was the perfect person to join him and his group of heroes on their suicide mission. He thought that having a child of Ares on the quest would be good, in case we ran into some war person or something.
I wasn't entirely sure. I hadn't asked him about it.
'Roses are red,' Leo began, starting to smile.
Jason laughed, and I felt a smile tugging at the corners of my mouth. I couldn't help it. Jason had a very infectious laugh.
'Violets are blue, I am Leo Valdez and who are you?' Leo smiled cheerfully at me. 'What do you think, oh fair Violet?' Leo asked, stroll grinning. He leapt to his feet and took an elaborate bow, then tipped an imaginary hat to me. 'Not my best, admittedly, but still...'
'Awful,' I sighed, rolling my eyes and pushing past him. 'As usual. Now, I'm late for sword practise, Valdez. Out of the way.'
'I'm heartbroken, Violet!' Leo called. 'Heartbroken!'
I walked away, hearing the distant sound of Jason Grace laughing echoing in my ears.
This seems so much like a Leo fanfic so far wow. Dedicated to merewolves because she gave me this awesome plot and is just so awesome like plz follow her because she's fantastic.
And sorry it's short, all chapters will be this way. Whoops. MORE Violet and Jason next chapter.
