Sam's POV
I come out of the emergency room doors, and see Daisy standing in the middle of the hallway, looking worried. I walk towards her, then pull her into my arms, letting her squeeze me tightly. She asks, her voice wavering, “H-how is she?” I reply, rubbing her back to calm her, “Well...they didn’t have to induce her, but the baby’s heart rate went down, so they put her under, and are now doing an emergency c-section.” She pushes me away suddenly, asking, “Why didn’t you stay in there, Moose?” I reply, “They know I’m not the dad! When they started drugging her, she was blabbing about Dean, so they booted me out! Not my fault, babe!” Daisy just stares at me for a second, so I add, “They don’t allow anyone who isn’t directly related to the mom in there! I mean, if Dean was here, I’d probably be allowed! I told them that I’m the dad’s brother, but how would they believe me?” Daisy hugs me again, saying, “It’s okay; you tried, Moose. That’s what matters.” I smile, saying, “She’s gonna be okay, baby, don’t worry.” I sit down next to Daisy in the chairs in the hallway, holding her hand, comfortingly. A few moments later, a nurse comes out, asking for someone who knows Ally. Daisy and I both stand up, still gripping each other’s hands, waiting for the worst. The nurse smiles at us, saying, “Why so sad, babies? It’s a girl!”
