I glanced at the girl sitting behind West. I think it's that one girl, Campschi or something. She's staring at West, or shall I say glaring.

Ugh! How dare she listen in on our conversation! Oh, the nerve of these people!

It was a great save on West's part though, saying no so the girl listening would think we wouldn't be allies. Ha. She doesn't know how wrong she is yet.

I look down at the paper in my hands, and read it for the 5th time.

Avee-

Sorry if I hurt your feelings, I just didn't want the girl behind us to over hear. She seems like she would do that.

I totally think we should be allies. Who's heard of the saying 2 heads are better than one? I know I have. Or 3 heads, because of Lorelei. Is she younger than you? She seems to be.

Anyways, I really like you. I wonder if maybe all 3 of us could win. That would be amazing. First time in history...

Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna stop writing because eavesdropper girl is spying on me.

Love,

     West Hamilton

I still can't believe he wrote love at the end. West seems like that perfect guy for me. He's funny, hot, sarcastic, laid back, sporty, hot, cool, majorly hot, and did I mention hot? Huh. I guess I did.

I sunk back into my chair, and snuch my sunglasses on. I tilted my head back, that way it would look like I was sleeping, when I was really looking around.

The plane was made up of a big, open poshy space with 10 clusters of 2 chairs everywhere. The chairs were all ppinting in different directions, with a few facing each other, and a few back to back. It was such a weird layout.

The whole plane was this beige color, it was like being in a room, there was a table in the middle with drinks and snacks.

"This is your captain speaking. We are about to land in the Capitol, please remain in your seats until you hear a beep, indicating that you may stand. Once out of the airplane, you will meet your mentors. There are 20 mentors, and you have the opportunity to pick whichever mentor you would like, so get there first! That way you get the nicest selection. Each mentor will be holding a piece of paper with there name, age, and some adjectives that describe them. Choose wisely.  I wish you luck."

Wait, what? We have mentors? We get to choose our mentors? Sweet!

I gather up my stuff, and place my bag in my lap. I quietly undo my seat belt, and get ready in a sprinter's position. I need to have the finest mentor there is, and the only way I can do that is by getting there first.

Lorelei does the same as me, and we are both ready to run as soon as the doors open and we hear a beep. I glance over at West, and find that he is in the same position as me.

Great minds think alike, I guess.

"Ding. You are welcome to exit the aircraft" The Captain said.

As soon as the doors opened I sprinted out of the plane with West and Lorelei at my heels.

"C'mon, let's all get good mentors!" I yelled behind my shoulder.

Lorelei replied with a grunt and West just replied with an okay.

"Lorelei, if we can do you want to have the same mentor?" I asked her, still running towards the doors.

"Sure," she replied

When we sprinted out the doors, everybody else was far behind us, because they still had to pack up their stuff. We stopped short when we spotted a line of people facing us, each holding cards.
