Letters To Louis Tomlinson- All Is Well, Or Is It?

Chapter 17:

Courtney's POV:

I click on Stephanie's name and start texting. "I know you're still probably upset with me but I thought I should let you know that I just got a text from Brooke." I hit the send button and wait for her to respond.

While I wait for her response I stare out the window and look at the passing cars, suddenly becoming really interesting .*bzzz* I look down at my lap where my phone is and see Stephanie pop up on my screen, indicating that I have received a text.

Opening up to my messages, I finally see what she says, "come over we need to talk." I look over at Harry "Can we go to Liam and Stephanie's for a bit, Steph wants to talk." He nods his head without hesitation. "Sure."

Within 10 minutes we arrive at their apartment. I lift my hand up and knock on the door waiting for either Stephanie or Liam to open it but to my surprise Niall opens the door. Before I get to ask why he is here he explains to both Harry and I, "Stephanie told me Brooke texted you, said I should come over so we can all talk."

"Yea that makes sense." When Harry and I walk into the apartment I see Liam and Stephanie already sitting at the table, I guess that means we're sitting at the table. I walk over to one of the chairs and sit down, Harry following soon after.

Niall sits down and everyone is just looking at each other in awkward silence, obviously because of what happened between me and Stephanie. But before anything can get any more awkward I pull out my phone and bring up the text.

"She sent this to me about 15 minutes ago after Harry and I picked out our wedding cake." I slide my phone over to where Liam, Stephanie, and Niall are sitting at the table.

They all look at it and are shocked after reading it. "I guess she's not giving up huh?" Niall says shaking his head. "As if her cheating wasn't disappointing enough." Liam says.

Stephanie reads it over again. "We have to figure out exactly what she's planning to do." I sit back in my chair in frustration "how do you expect we do that?" She sighs "Well she sent you this text, we can track the number and figure out where she sent it from. Hopefully it will tell us where she is currently living so we can try and find something there."

My eyes nearly pop out of my head. "Isn't that illegal?" Niall laughs "which part?" I shake my head in frustration once again. "We don't really have a choice Courtney, we don't know what she's planning and I honestly don't know what to expect."

"Well how are you going to track her down with this text. None of us know how to go about doing that." She looks over at Liam. "I think I might know somebody who can." Liam says going through his phone and clicking on someone's name, typing away at his screen, clearly texting someone.

"I can't believe we're actually doing this." I say rubbing my eyes, still trying to comprehend everything. "I think it's kind of cool, were like secret agents." Harry says with a smirk on his face. I chuckle "Yea only we don't even know half the stuff that secret agents do."

"Can we talk?" Stephanie says before Harry and I's conversation can get any further. "Sure." She gets up from her chair and heads over to the kitchen behind the counter, with me following close behind.

"Listen I'm sorry that I flipped out on you before but you're my sister Courtney. You're supposed to tell me these things no matter what. You can't just keep it from me, especially if it has to do with Brooke."

"I know I'm sorry too. I hate when we fight, I promise to tell you everything from here on out." She smiles and wraps me into a hug, making me smile in return. "So we're really gonna do this?" Stephanie breaks the hug and sighs. Well there sure is a lot of sighing going on today.

"Well we obviously can't do all of it alone we have no clue what we're doing. But we have no choice but to do something, we can't let her keep threatening us." I nod my head in agreement, "Yea you're right."

"We should head back now." I smile and head back to the table and where I was sitting before. "Good news Pete says he will track the number." I squint my eyes in confusion. "Who's Pete?"

"Oh he's an old friend he's into computers and all that." Well okay then. "Glad to see that you two finally worked things out, that sure was awkward." Niall and Harry nod in agreement while Stephanie and I laugh.

"Oh and we should probably inform Louis and Hannah about this."

"I was planning on calling Louis later, I can explain things then." Harry says raising his hand. "Are you in school?" I ask while laughing. "Hey don't judge."

"Well I think I should get going it's getting late. I'll see you guys soon?" Niall stands up from his seat at the table. "Yea I'll text you if anything major comes up." Liam says, walking him out. "I think we should head out too, I need to clean some things up back at the house."

"Okay, I'll text you soon." Stephanie says while walking us to the door. "Do we really have to clean today?" Harry says whining like a little kid. "Yes Harry, we haven't vacuumed or dusted in days. We have to at least do that."

The whole walk to the car consists of Harry making a pouty face and trying to get me not to clean today. "Harry we have to at least dust and vacuum."

"Ugh fine." I start laughing. "You're such a child." He smiles "but you love me for it."

"True I do. But sometimes I wonder why." He shakes his head and starts the car. "Suree." I don't even respond, I just look up at the sky and how the sun is slowly setting as Harry drives us home.

Stephanie's POV:

"Do you think it will work Liam?" He looks up from his phone. "Do I think what will work?"

"Our plan with Brooke." He sits down next to me and combs his fingers through my hair. "We will never know if we never try."

"I guess so. It just aggravates me how Brooke can do something so stupid." Liam sighs. "I know sometimes people do things we thought they were never capable of."

"Why do you have to be so smart?" I ask Liam looking up at him, since I have my head on his chest. "I don't know I ask myself that frequently." I slap his chest "you jerk."

"Hey you said it."

"Yea, yea, yea."

Hey everyone! I apologize for not updating in so long. I've been super busy with school and have had no time to write, but I'm trying to get back on schedule so bear with me.
