She woke up feeling very tired because she had spent the last night reading.

As she stood up from the bed,the constant sorrow that she had felt for the last three years overtook her again.

The bed felt so empty. She remembered how her little sister Mia always came to her room when she heard or "saw" ghosts in her own room.

She wondered what she would look like now. She really did miss her. When she reads, she always forgot all her sorrows but last the previous night was different.

It was like there was an invisible rope that kept her tied up in her thoughtd.

As much as she tried, she just couldn't stop the memories from flowing.

She had her bath and quickly shrugged into an outfit: a mini gown she would feel comfortable in but will also expose enough skin to attract the interviewer as she didn't want to be late for her interview. In hopes that the interviewer will be a man.

She quickly rushed to the door where she saw her roommate and almost best friend Amelia going out.

They exchanged their greetings and went their separate ways.

Amelia was a cleaner at the local nursing home while Nichole was jobless ever since the incident that rendered her helpless and homeless.

Amelia had been the one supporting them both but she always felt like a liability to Amelia who would never complain.

But it was obvious that she needed to find a job.

She was never a lazy person. Mama had ensured to teach her how to be responsible and hardworking.

She got to the bus station and took the bus going to town.

She got to the office with fifteen minutes to spare and though she didn't really feel like, she went over to the lady seated behind the desk to know what the owner of the company really required  for the job.

She watched as people went in and came back out of the office for the job interview.

At exactly eleven a.m, she was called in for the interview and as she entered the office, somebody she would never have expected to see again so soon was there seated and smiling at her.
