Chapter 2

Hope walked into the office  to see him smiling at her. She never would have recognised him if not for that smile.

The same one he gave her at the store the previous day when she had tripped.

She couldn't forget it because she hardly got a smile thrown in her direction and this one had stuck to her mind.

He had assisted her and she didn't even thank him.

She had only given him a slight nod in reply to his question as she hurriedly went out of the store.

She had barely packed her groceries before quickly escaping.

She looked up to him and gave the man seated next to him a smile as she walked up to the table and took her sit.

There were two other interviewers present and she tried her best not to look nervous.

Truth is she was scared out of her mind but mama had taught her to keep a straight face.

She quickly cleared her thoughts of her mom as she straightened her creaseless skirt.

She watched as the lady that was sat at the right end opened a file and asked for her name.

Hope inwardly rolled her eye at the silly question as she answered the overly plum woman.

She hated it when people asked such senseless questions like the one the woman asked as though she couldn't see her name on the file but she guessed it was all part of procedure.

The other man then collected the file and asked her a few questions which she answered the best way she could.

The handsome man that helped her at the store didn't even ask any questions.

He merely stared at her with what seemed like a permanent smile on his face.

Ten minutes passed and the interview was over and as she got up they told her they would get back to her in a week.

Hope exited the room but not before she caught the man smiling at her.

She looked pointedly at the lady before smiling and exiting the office.

She sighed when she left the office.

She was not about to give off any mixed signals.

Sebastian watched as she exited the room. He chuckled lightly at the irony of it all.

He hadn't even planned on coming in to work today.

If not for the impromptu call the manager had received concerning his family causing him be absent  from work, he would have been at home or at the grocery store making inquiries about her.

"HOPE".

Such a beautiful name for a beautiful lady.

When he saw her the previous day, he had been captivated. He wasn't even sure why he noticed her but he did.

Maybe it was because she had a air of mystery around her or because of her angelic face and beautiful body or perhaps it was because she had barely acknowledged his presence that made her seem more intruiging.

She didn't even know his name and he was determined to change that.

At least now he had her name and details.

He hadn't even expected to find her without going through stress. Luck was just on his side and he was sure as hell going to make use of his opportunity.

He looked at the time and sighed as he still had a lot to do. The day was going to be a long day because he wasn't sure he'd be able to keep her off his mind while working.

He made up his mind that he was going to get her and keep her for himself.

And every one knew that when he sets his mind on something he always achieves it.

She seemed stubborn and there was no way he was allowing her to get away from him no matter how stubborn she might prove to be.

He had even noticed how she refused to acknowledge his presence earlier.

He knew she remembered him because of the slight widening of her eyes when she had entered.

But even at that, she didn't even spare a small smile in his direction and that was definitely going to change.
