*Sorry for this stupid late update! Hahah! Mianheyo yadeura! Enjoy!*
Him disappearing in an instant was not what surprised me, but the fact that he suddenly and unknowingly kissed me on the cheek. And another surprising fact, my heart skipped a beat. I almost felt like fainting there. The door opened behind me. I turned and saw umma.
"Oh, you're here. Why are you standing there, looking like you've seen a ghost?" She asked worriedly. I shook my head, trying to wake up to reality and gave her a warm smile as I kissed her cheek.
"Eopseo umma. Have you eaten yet?" I asked as I entered. She shook her head.
"No. I haven't. I was waiting for you. Come on. Let's eat." She said as we went to the kitchen. I sat down and so did umma after placing the plates.
"So, how was work?" She asked. I just looked up and her and smiled.
"Good. Very, uhm, unusual, if it's the right term." I said as I ate.
************
"Sunhwa-ya! Wake up! Someone's looking for you!" Umma yelled from the door as she knocked.
"Coming!" I yelled as I combed my hair quickly, went towards the door and opened it.
"Who is it?" I asked. She gave me a weird smile.
"I've never seen him before, but... He's handsome." Umma said, again, smiling really weirdly. I raised a brow. Handsome? Who was it? Then my eyes kinda widened. Is it who I think it is?! Then umma patted my back.
"Go on. Don't keep your 'guest' waiting." She said. I blinked a couple of times, sighed and went down with my heart beating a bit faster. And I don't even know why!! I took a peek and saw Suho sitting at the sofa, then his head turned to me like he already knew I was coming and he smiled at me. The usual smile he always gives me. That makes my heart flutter and butterflies roam around my tummy. Umma kinda pushed me that made me kinda fall from the stairs. But even before I land onto the floor, Suho was quick. He held me by the waist that made me prevent from falling. I raised my head and saw Suho's eyes just 3 inches away from me. His eyes~~~~ Those eyes, it was really different.
"Oops! Sorry about that honey." Umma said from my back. I cleared my throat and Suho removed his arms from my waist. I turned to see umma. She gave me a smile, and a thumbs up. My weird umma!!
"Uhm, so, Joonmyeon, have you had your breakast?" Umma asked. Suho just nodded ans smiled.
"I'm already done Mrs. Heo." He said. Good thing he said that. Thought he'll call umma 'eommeonni' or something else.
I looked at Suho and then looked at the floor. Guess I can't look directly in him, especially his eyes.
"So, what are you doing here?" I asked, glancing at some time in his face.
"I came here to pick you up for work." He said. Then my eyes widened and I looked at him.
"What?!" I said.
"Sunhwa-ya!" Umma said. Suho smiled.
"Is it ok?" He asked. Before I can even talk, Umma butted in.
"Of course. It's much better that someone's going to walk her to work. How kind of you Joonmyeon-ssi." Umma said. I wanted to say something to umma, but she gave me a weird look and pushed me a bit.
"Go on." She said. I sighed and nodded. I took my bag and bid goodbye to her. We left the house and started walking.
"Why?" I asked. Suho was just quiet for a moment then he looked at me.
"I just wanted to thank you. For being there for us. For the other members. They've become happy when you came along. It made my leadership less, harder." He said as he smiled. I didn't budge. I felt he's going to say something more.
"Second.." He started. "I wanted to apologize for what I did last night." He said. Ok. I knew he's gonna bring that up anytime. And he did. I sighed.
"I know you're still bothered. And you're still thinking about it." He said with a concerned look on his face.
"Please. Try not to read my mind as often as possible." I excused. He smiled and nodded.
"To tell you the truth, something weird- Ah, never mind." He said as he focused in the road. I looked at him.
"What? What's weird? Tell me." I said. He just shook his head.
"Nothing. It was not meant for you. I was just thinking." He said. I tried not to get that information out of him anymore. Probably it was something private that just came out of him. So I just let it go. We we're silent for a moment until we arrived at my work.
"Thanks for taking me here." I said. He just smiled.
"Don't mention it. Anytime." He said.
"Want some coffee before you leave?" I asked. He shook his head.
"No. I'm good. Just call if you need me, ok?" He said. I didn't even have his phone number, neither knew he had a phone. I just nodded, still a bit confused on what he meant and he left.
After the tiresome day at work, it was already 8 p.m. when I was walking home alone. It was a bit scary since some of the streets lights were flickering, and the harsh wind started brushing down on my cheek....and I was merely alone. The typical thing you'll see in a movie when a girl is alone and someone or something suddenly shows up. And that someone did show up, and not the someone I expected.
"Give me your money, or you die." A man whispered by my ear. I was shocked and frozen. I was starting to shake terribly.
"I...I don't have any money." I stammered. He chuckled.
"Nonesense dear. I followed you from work." He said. "But I guess your pretty face can pay it all up." He whispered again as I felt his hot breath on my neck. I was nearly in tears.
"Suho...." I muttered. I heard him chuckle again. Until a couple of minutes, I felt that something was happening from my behind. I slowly opened my eyes and turned. To see that Suho was beating the guy as hard as he can. Try to picture a boxer hitting his opponent. Now double that with his speed and agressiveness. I can see in his eyes that it was turning red now. After the fight, he threw the guy by the trees, turned to look at me like nothing happened. He walked towards me and looked into my eyes, the red glow starting fade, as he caressed my face, somehow checking me if I was alright.
"Are you ok? Are you hurt?" He asked worriedly, but still in a cool way. I nodded, I was still a bit shaky and I looked at the ground. He raised my head to face him.
"Look at me." He said. I did, and hoped not to. He was like melting me down. That stare~ It was like heaven.
"Ka-Kamsahamnida." I just said. Then he hugged me. I can feel my eyes starting to water.
"It's ok, I'm here. Sssshhh~" He said as he hugged me tighter.
I arrived home and went straight to my room, surprised to see him standing near my bed.
"I'm still worried about you. I can feel that your still nervous and shaky." He said. I gave him a weak smile.
"Gwaenchana sunbae." I said.
"Junmyeon." He said. I looked at him.
"Hmm?" I asked.
"Call me Junmyeon." He said coolly. I nodded and smiled. I got dressed in the washroom since he said that he'll wait for me. I laid down my bed and he sat down beside me. My eyes were still opened and I looked into his eyes. The moonlight just shone his bright eyes.
"Sleep, rest." He said.
"I can't." I said. He smiled and he took my head and placed it on his legs. He caressed my head and started humming "Miracles in December." My eyes started to drift, and I felt a soft kiss on my cheek again.
"Jaljayo~" He whispered. Then I fell asleep.
