Knock Knock Knock. I knew it was Beccy, I checked my phone just to see if it was one; it was. I opened the door to see her standing there, she had the same lengthen shorts as she did yesterday only these shorts were much darker. She was wearing a spaghetti strapped, blue cammi and today her hair was straight down and hung over her shoulders; like water flowing over a waterfall.

"Hey, Brandon was wondering if he could tag along with us. Do you mind?" I mean, of course I didn't want him to come but I could tell that even though she was planning it on it being just the two of us, but she was too nice to say no.

"I don't mind." I gestured for her to step in and she accepted.

"Brandon, c'mon." I screamed up the stairs, but not too loud, I didn't want to hurt Beccy's ears.

He ran down the stairs and stopped right in front of me. He stared at her really quickly and his eyes became bigger.  He leaned over to my ear "Dude, she is so hot today!"

Yes Brandon, I freaking know! I wanted to scream at him, but I didn't want to give him or Beccy, any clues that I liked her.

"Okay boys you ready to go?" She opened the door and we followed her out. It took us about 15 minutes to walk the Sprinkle Town and it looked so cool; the shop was an ice cream cone and there were colored benches surrounding it, representing sprinkles.

"Beccy, what do you suggest I get? I don't know whats good here." I said, hoping that she would answer instead of Brandon.

"Well I like the chocolate-vanilla swirl the best." Good, Beccy replied.

"Me too Beccy." Brandon said jumping in. "How about you two find a spot to sit and I'll get all of us one." As we walked around the shop we noticed no empty benches.

Brandon found us as we rounded the front again. "How about the curb?" Beccy and I grabbed our ice cream out of his hands and we headed for the curb. Beccy sat down and Brandon quickly sat to her right. I took a spot on her other side and licked my ice cream. It was amazing. It was cold, but not cold enough to freeze and had the best consistency, just how ice cream should be. We didn't really talk, just sat and licked our ice cream in silence, but when everyone was done we stood up and threw our napkins away.

"Hey, I have a swim meet and a birthday party to go to at 3:30. I better head home." Beccy said checking her phone for the time.

"Alright, well don't want you to be late." Brandon said taking the words right out of my mouth. I knew that he was flirting with her. He wouldn't even let me get a word out.

"Yup. Lets go" was all there was left to say. I didn't want to make it seem like I was careless.

On the way back Brandon starts talking, what a surprise... "Hey, Nate, do you mind if I invite some people over. We could have a sleep over."

"No, go right ahead." I say.

"Okay, and don't worry, you can hang out with us. I'll introduce you and everything." I knew he didn't want to seem like a jerk in front of Beccy but if he did leave me out I could just tell Beccy about it so he had to let me hang out with him and his friends.

"Great, thanks."

As we walk up the driveway Brandon slams opens the door and runs upstairs for his mom. I shut the door so that the cool air wouldn't escape the house and turn to Beccy.

"Hey, I had a great time today. Maybe we could do this again, without Brandon? Anyway, can I have your number?" I give her my phone which is already open to new contact. She puts in her number and smiles.

"Sure, but I have practice all through the week so maybe next weekend?" She smiles and hands me her phone for my number. I gladly punch it in and hand it back to her.

"Okay that would be great." As she walks down the driveway she picks up her bike and I yell "Good luck today at your meet!" She turns, smiles and rides down the street.
