Chapter 5:Elyna's 18th Birthday

Elyna's POV
     
      As I woke up,I rubbed my eyes and got my phone.I press my screen twice (that's how I open my phone.) and my eyes widened.

November 16.That's today,and the day I was born.I got up from bed and I went downstairs.I saw Mom and Abuela (my grandma) on the sofa.Mom is on her phone,while Abuela is reading her all-time favorite book.

"Hi Mom,Hi Abuela." I said,trying to hide my excitement because,duh,it's my birthday today. "Hi Elyna.How's your sleep?" Abuela said,laying her book on the coffee table in front of her. "It's okay,Abuela.Actually,I had the best dream ever." I said as I sat down beside them. "So,anything special todaaaayy?" I asked them. "No,nothing special today." Mom said emotionless.

Great,Mom forgot it's my birthday. "Oh okay.I'll go take a bath." I said while I went to my room to get my towel.After I've done my personal hygiene,I heard a soft knock. "Elyna,faster!You might miss the school's van!"(don't judge me if it's a van not a bus) Mom said as I said 'okay' in return.

*At school*

"Hi Elyna!" Amanda and Xynna greeted me. "Hi Girls." I said with a sad tone. "Why are you sad?!" Xynna said with a cute puppy face. "Mom forgot that's its..uhmm..its nothing."I said with a sad face. "What really is it,Elyna?" Amanda asked me,curiously. "Well,My m-" I didn't finished my sentence because the bell rang.

At the classroom,no one still greets me.I told myself to wait and to be calm.Everyone seems its a normal day.But something went into my mind.

*Flashback*
(This flashback is about the continuation of the previous chapter)

*still Elyna's POV*

Previously:I turned around and I saw a pathway to somewhere.Of course,I'm very curious because of what is happening,so I followed the path.

Darkness was everywhere.Luckily,I bought my phone with me.I turned on the 'flashlight' button,then I saw a switch and turned it on.I was surprised because I saw my pictures with a man I haven't seen before.

The man is tall,has light brown hair,has hazel eyes like me,and he is HANDSOME.Then I saw some words under the picture.I almost faint because of what I read.

Albert Rence R. Catipon

What!?!?!.Catipon is my last name!So that means Albert Rence R. Catipon is my DAD!My head was spinning because of confusion.I saw an envelope just beside the picture.I opened it and I saw Mom with the man or should I say,dad.I think its their wedding day because,they both wore wedding clothes.

While I'm examining the pictures,I heard Mom calling me.I quickly arranged the pictures then I closed the door that leads to the bunker.Luckily Mom haven't yet opened my bedroom door,and I have a little time to get to bed.

"Elyna?Oh..You're asleep.I better wake you up." Mom said as I moved,pretending that I'm just getting up from bed. "Hmm..Hi Mom.I forgot to set my alarm so I woke up late.Wait..Where have you been?You only wear those clothes when you only went out." I said,pretending to be curious.

" I just went out to see my friend." She simply said.
