Genesis Gryffindor and the Magical Orb - Book 3

Fantastic beasts- an understatement, more like a life saver

I was staring in the eyes of a charmer, what was wrong with me? Before I could think about anything I was being pulled back into the bunker. I turned around to look at Alianne who had a uneasy look on her face.

"Whats wrong?" I asked her.

"That was Blake"

"And, whats your point?"

"You should stay away from him he is bad news." She said

I moved to open the door but she blocked it. "Hey what are you playing at?"

"He's part veela which means he can turn his charm on you. That is exactly what he was doing, he does it to all the girls just for one thing."

"What one thing? My money?" I asked her.

Ali smacked her forehead. "Wow you are so innocent. No he is after your virginity."

What? He is trying to seduce me.

I shook my head. "No he is only 13 he's too young."

"He's 15 and you caught his eye, he loves a challenge and now he isn't gonna stop until he gets you. It's what he does."

I nearly wanted to throw up, I was still 12 for atleast 3 more weeks. I felt like he slapped me in the face and spat on me.

"Why did you have to make me pretty, its nothing but a curse. I mean I liked the way I looked. Now I'm all pretty and guys are trying to deflower me." I paused trying to keep myself together, to hold in my tears. I'm not hungry anymore." I sighed as I moved to my bed. I cleared everything off and returned my things to their appropriate places before grabbing another book at random.

I moved to my bed and laid down before pulling the book close so I could read it.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - Beauxbatons Addition - by Newt Scamander

This intrigued me I mean why would Beauxbatons have their own special edition of this book. I opened my book to the first page with the introduction and began reading.

Out of all the fantastic beasts in the entire wizarding world Beauxbatons has the most exciting of them all. This book consists of the rare creatures that inhabit the academys Mystical Forest. Though no one has ever seen these creatures -execpt for me- but I can assure you they exist. These wonderful creatures I have named Pokemon, or Pocket Monsters. They are the most fabulous of creatures and their gifts are wonderful.-

I turned the page fast eager to find out what these creatures were so I skipped the rest of reading the page. I skipped the index and turned to a page at random. The picture looked like a cat but not so much. It was pink and extremely adorable. I had to know more about this creature, what better than to do then read.

PHYSIOLOGY

Skitty-

So this things name was Skitty.

-are pink feline Pokémon with a stumpy body, short legs, large head and slender tail with a bulky pink section, terminated by three pin-like shapes. On Skitty's face is a lopsided, cream-colored, cresent-shaped marking. Skitty have slit-like eyes and tufted ears with purple interiors. Because of these features, they are regarded as highly cute Pokémon.

This little kitty was extremely cute, they got that right. I wanted to hug it and kiss it and I only had my eyes on its picture for mere seconds.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Skitty, along with Glameow, Purrloin and their evolutions, is able to wield the Assist attack, which allows Skitty to use a random attack known by any other Pokémon in its trainer's team. Unlike other cat-like Pokémon like Meowth or Glameow, Skitty doesn't scratch or bite; instead, it slaps with its tail, which allows Skitty to pull off a relatively powerful DoubleSlap or Wake-up Slap. Like most Normal-type Pokémon, Skitty can learn many elemental attacks. Skitty, along with its evolution, are the only Pokémon to have the Normalize ability.

So there were other creatures like it, other feline critters. What struck me odd was the way it mentioned the slapping, and I was pretty sure that I understood correctly and these things fought one another. I needed more information.

BEHAVOIR

Skitty are fascinated by and will chase anything that moves (a personality trait that is found in "real-world" kittens). Skitty will even chase its own tail. It may also make its tail puff out in battle, along with threatening its foes with a sharp growl. It is said to be difficult to earn its trust.

When I read this the image the tiny kitten I used to have when I was 5. Its name was mittens and it loved yarn. I giggled as I remembered it chasing my feet around the house. I moaned as the urge to get one of these creatures grew overbearing.

HABITAT:

Skitty can be found living in holes in trees in forests.

I was sucked in. This book said that this cute little kitten-looking creature could be found in the Mystical Forest. I was resisting the urge to jump up and down on my bed and scream. I wanted this creature, it was so cute I could see myself hugging it. Maybe this was my life preserver when it came to keeping my sanity. In this book was something I could see myself doing, searching for these creatures and making bonds with them.

 I bookmarked my page before I sat up and looked at Alianne.

"Have you ever came across these creatures in this book" I asked her.

She sat up and leaned over to get a better view. "Ahh the Pokemon." She shook her head. "No unfortunately no one is able to see them because of the orb."

This was weird? An orb, what did that have anything to do with it.

She saw my confusion and decided to furthur explain. "If you read Beauxbatons a History you will read about the founder. I forget her name but her last name was Gryffindor. Anyways she brought up this castle along with another witch with the surname Ravenclaw. They stumbled upon the forest and its wonderful rare creatures and didn't want anyone unworthy to find it so they created the orb. The orb stands outside the forest on a pedestal keeping gaurd. Anyone that isn't of pure enough ancestory of the two are unable to enter the true forest. I would continue on but there are some things that I will probably leave out that are in the history book. Its a good read but I wouldn't get my hopes up on finding the cute creatures you read in that book. The author of that book searched far and wide to find a pure enough ancestor to get into the forest and log all those creatures."

I felt my heart drop. I was a pure ancestor of the Gryffindors so that meant I could possibly enter the forest. I smiled as I sat resumed my mind to the book. The creatures were amazing and the things they did were unimaginable. I for the first time couldn't wait to get off this train, I already knew where I would spend most of my time.

AUTHORS NOTE: SO I WANTED TO BRING IN CREATURES THAT WERE KNOWN ONLY IN THE BEAUXBATON FOREST SO I CHOSE POKEMON :) I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE THAT IDEA.
