I stood before the entrance of the forest and looked inside, weird enough I was able to see out the other side as it seemed to be no longer than about 3 yards long. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before I walked a few steps forward. I counted to three before I opened my eyes and stared amused. The other end of the forest was no where to be seen. I smiled before I began walking only to stop when I came to a large pond. To the left was a set of stone stairs covered in ivy. They had a shadow cast over them and it drew me in. I had to know where they led to.

Starting at a light jog I took the steps two at a time and gasped when I reached the top. The forest below me was cast in a series of rainbow colors that shown through the tops of the trees. Something slid across my shoe and I quickly looked down. Moving across my shoe was what I knew to be a Caterpie. It was a cute bug pokemon but it wasn't the one I was looking for. I bent over and moved it off my foot and continued walking. A rattle it the bush grabbed my attention and I froze before turning my head. Getting on my knees I crawled over to the bush and spread apart the branches. Laying in the brush was a large white egg with red and blue patterns. I sighed before I reached my hands out to take the egg. It was heavier then I thought but that didn't keep me from bringing it into my arms.

"I wonder what you could be?" I smiled as I got to my feet holding the egg in my arm.

What should I do with it, I thought to myself. I could hide it here and check on it every day or I can take it back to the dorms with me. Maybe I should take it with me after all another creature could harm it. Staring at the egg I headed back towards the stone steps I took and headed out of the forest.

As I passed the statue Alianne stepped out her arms crossed. "What is that?" she asked walking towards me.

"It's nothing, just an egg I found in the forest."

"Can I have it" She asked as she reached forward to take it.

Turning away from her I stepped back. "No you can't have it, its mine" I snapped.

"But... I want it"

I placed the egg securly in my bag before I face her again. "Well thats just too bad I'm not giving it to you."

Alianne stared at me for the longest moment before she reached forward to take my bag. I smacked her hand away and turned to run back into the woods.

"Stay away from me you lunatic!" I yelled as I heard her behind me.

I knew I just had to make it to the forest and she wouldn't be able to follow me. I pushed myself and stumbled over the edge of the woods and suddenly everything around me changed. I was back and Alianne was no where to be found. I turned to look behind me and knew I had to go forward as I couldn't go back. I followed the steps back to the place I found the egg and decided to move on.

I walked deeper into the forest, every few steps I heard something rustle in the bushes. Finally my curiosity got the best of me and I moved forward and got on my knees. Peering into the bush I screamed before I jumped back as something lunged at me.

A orange pokemon with electricity surging from its cheeks charged at me. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around my bag protecting the egg from the harm that was about to come to me.

"Riachu no!" female voice spoke gently.

I snapped my eyes open and looked up. A young lady with long green hair was petting the monstrous creature that tried to shock me. I got slowly to my feet and took a few steps forward.

"That thing has a name?" I asked in a shaky voice.

"Yes and so does that creature you hold in your bag. I am sure you know what they are yes?" She asked me in a airy voice.

"Of course I do, they are pokemon and yours tried to attack me."

The girl walked forward and smiled in a friendly manner. "My name is Gardevoir and I am the protector of the pokemon."
