Harry heard the ringing of his phone and quickly ran downstairs, hoping it would be Louis calling. He saw the picture of Louis on the screen and almost screamed of happiness. He hasn't seen his boyfriend for months and he misses him a lot.
"Hey baby!" Harry said, grinning like he just won lottery.
"Hey love, how are you?" Louis' soft voice said.
"I'm ok I just miss you so much." Harry said.
"I miss you too." Louis said and Harry smiled even more.
"I can't wait to see you on Christmas!" Harry said excited and Louis sighed.
"Baby, I probably won't be home for Christmas this year." Louis said sadly.
"B-but you said-"
"I know love but my trainer wants me to play in the next game. It's really important." Louis said and Harry nodded sadly.
"O-ok." he murmured.
"I have to go to training now, love you!" Louis said.
"Love you too." Harry said and Louis hung up.
Harry sighed and buried his face in his hands. He was so looking forward to seeing his boyfriend on Christmas. It would have been the best present in the world. But it's always like that. Louis told him all the time in the last few months he would come home at a certain time and then a few days before that time he called and told him that he couldn't make it home until then because of a football match or something. Harry knew Louis loved football a lot and he respected it and loved watching Louis play, but sometimes...
Sometimes he just wished that Louis wouldn't be playing.
He misses him just too much.
Harry got off the couch and went into the kitchen. He poured water into a glass and drank the whole thing at once. He looked down sadly, holding the glass in one hand and gripping the end of the counter with the other.
Next time Harry would come with Louis, he would definitly come with him.
It's better to sit in a hotel room all day and then seeing Louis after training than staying at home and not seeing him at all. He just wanted to be with Louis.
They had also talked about kids but decided against it as long as Louis is playing. Louis is barely ever at home and Harry is only 19. He couldn't raise a child on his own, and he didn't want to do it alone either.
Harry has always tried to distract himself but in the back of his mind he just thought about Louis and when Louis would finally be home he never left his side. He was so clingy and touchy then but he couldn't change that. Louis only stayed for a few days before he had to leave again and Harry wanted to make the most of these days. Normally Louis was sleeping a lot though because he was exhausted of the training and the games. But Harry also loved that. He would make breakfast for Louis and bring it to their bed for him. Then he would wait for Louis to come out of the shower and they would cuddle on the couch. They didn't do much in these days, they mostly cuddled and held each other close because they missed the other one so much.
But now none of this will happen.
Christmas:
Harry was really sad the whole time. Zayn, Liam and Niall offered him to spend Christmas with them but he didn't want to. He would only make them sad too and he wanted them to have fun. His family asked him to spend Christmas with them as well but he also said no for the same reason. He just wanted to spend Christmas with one person, and that person was Louis. But Louis wasn't here. He was playing a football match. Why are there even matches on Christmas? Harry didn't understand that.
