My Best Friend Rita

Halloween

Today is Halloween and I'm so excited! I quickly put on my costume and got my candy bag from last year. Mommy and daddy told me to be careful and to have fun. I gave them a big hug ran outside the door. A little girl was sitting on the sidewalk in front of my house, it was Rita! I hugged her and asked her why she didn't tell me she was playing hide and seek. She didn't answer but just smiled. Mommy and daddy got out of the house because they wanted me to take a picture with my new costume. I said I wanted a picture with Rita too. I pulled her in the picture and said cheese! Mommy took the picture and told me to go have fun. Me and Rita went house to house getting candy's. We sat down on the sidewalk to eat our candy's. I looked in her bag but she didn't have any candy. I wanted to share so I dropped a candy in her bag. She opened it and it had a special message. It read you found me, I unwrapped mine and it read spooky! I laughed and saw some kids coming up to me. They laughed at me and told me Rita wasn't there. I told them Rita was here and they were being mean. They laughed and walked away. Rita wanted to get mad at them but I stopped her and said it was ok they were just being buttheads. We went to a hill in our neighborhood and sat down watching the little kids get their candy. I felt sad because the kids didn't believe me that Rita was here. She looked at me and took of her bolt head band and poked me. I turned and she pretended to me Frankenstein, she made me laugh. She pointed to the gate behind us and ran to it. She wanted me to follow her, but I was scared the gate was to keep us away from the spooky forest. She pulled me and wanted me to go to. She showed me a broken part of the gate and we walked through it. She ran and wanted me to follow her. I did and we found a big tree all alone she sat next to it and waited for me. I sat next to her and pulled out two candy's. I gave her one and she opened hers first, it read you found me. I opened mine next and it read I found you. She smiled and closed her eyes I think she was taking a nap. I smiled and took a nap with her too.
