It's my freshmen year here at Jordan High School. It's been two years since I moved from the Philippines because of my parents divorce. My father was a backstabbing bastard that cheated on my mother. I wanted to beat him up for putting my mom in such a difficult stage in her life. My mom was a conservative Filipina. She always made sure we were okay before she even looked at herself. I grew up in a family of five brothers. It was Robbie (18 years old) , Robin (17 years old) Rubin (16 years old), Roger (15 years old), Ray (14 years old) and then me, Ruth (13 years old.) We loved our mom, we always made sure she was okay from all the drama. Although we always yell at her on the road because she's too nice. She lets people go in front of her or get the parking even when we're in a rush. She drives too slow like Manila traffic slow (Manila tends to be very busy on the streets). Many girls from my school fall for my brothers, they often look at me like I'm trash. I play center for my schools basketball team and I'm also in the student council. Although my family is happy for these accomplishments, I feel empty.
