Oikawa's POV
I watch him quietly from afar. He really does look happy. I've never seen him smile in such a way. Hinata Shouyou is truly amazing, for making Tobio smile that much.
I walk along with the crowd, blending in. That's enough for today. I guess I'll no longer need to watch over him. He's safe. He's more than safe, actually.
Despite this, I keep doing it. Every single day, every chance I get. I miss him. I miss him so damn much. If only I hadn't confessed to him, he wouldn't have grown distant. I used to have him, as my best friend. I used to share usual conversations with him.
But now that's all gone. Simply because I screwed up. That's all there is to it. I wish I could rewind time, though. Rewind it back to where I kept my mouth shut. Rewind it to where I was still content with what I had. Rewind it to when Tobio was still mine. But was he really mine, to begin with?
