"What's up?" He asked, throwing his phone on the bed and sitting up.
"Nothing I just needed a break. I only need to put the sheets and curtains up now." I reply shrugging.
"Cool, everyone is coming over soon to help with," Jack paused for a second and looked around, "I honestly don't know what they want to do, I think they're terrified for both of us."
"Why." I laughed.
"Because, A. When did I think I could take care of a child." That should've hurt me but it didn't, I'm not sure why. "And b. I have never lived alone. So." He trailed off, but laughed along. "We have time let's talk. Music?" He suggest.
"Everything. Twenty Øne Piløts are my problematic favorites, but my playlist ranges from One Direction and Ellie Goulding, to Pierce The Veil and Attila."
"Attila?" He questions amused.
"Yes." I reply rolling my eyes, "something wrong?"
"You just don't strike me as that kind of person." He laughs it off. I felt like Jack was the most important person I would ever meet. Like my biological family didn't work out and foster siblings were never too life changing. I don't know, I feel like this is my person, my... support. I'm not good with words, leave me alone. "Did you put your medicine away?" Jack ask, I may have needed Him, but I didn't need anyone telling me what I needed to do about that, so I just nodded.
"What did you do with the living room?" I asked, changing the subject.
"I set up the couch, and the TV but I'll do decorations and the movie shelf another day, same for the game room." He smiled.
"This is gonna be awesome." I said, then retired to my room to watch Social Repose.
There was some yelling downstairs, so I went down just to see everyone here. Of course it was only Jack and Alex yelling, Rian and Zack sitting on their phones, trying to get the TV to work.
"I bet Noey will agree with me." Jack says, pulling me to his side.
"Fine." Alex replies, "Noelle, how is refrigerator spelled?"
"Are you kidding?" Was my immediate reaction, "You could literally Google it." They rolled their eyes at me and I went to sit with Rian and Zack.
"Hey, Noelle." Rian said and Zack gave a small wave.
"Hi guys." I went to explore that little area, since I had seen none of it.
"You two kind of look alike." Alex observed once everyone was sat down. Me and Jack looked At each other and shook our heads, the only similarity was our dark hair, but nothing else.
"Alex is on drugs." Jack sang. "Drugs Drugs Drugs." He started to chant and no one joined him, he looked at me with puppy eyes.
"Drugs. Drugs. Drugs." I whispered.
"Noelle's gonna be shy now." Alex laughed. "Come here, little one." He patted the seat next to him.
"You know," I whispered, "I'm 14, you kind of missed the change to call me little one."
In response, Alex just kissed my forehead. "Little one."
