Chapter 2 (letter received)

Hey guys this is my first book so please don't criticize too much. And there is probably lots of grammatical errors, which I will probably go back and change
But if you actually enjoy this the. Please comment, so I can continue writing. Because if not I'll just stop

I walked outside because the mail man had just came and delivered mail, but first I wanted to go and check on my chickens because of that stupid werewolf that keeps coming around here and killing them. But the weird thing is that sometimes it wouldn't even eat them it would just kill them, like it was for sport. I looked in the den and all of my chickens where alive, I let out a breath of relief, and started to walk back around my house.

As soon as I turned around there it was, the werewolf it stared at me with its blood red eyes and started to growl then I just put my fists up trying to warn it. It just stepped closer then, it started to transform into a person, I was just happy I could finally see who it was. It was finally a full human, it was a man, that was tall, and had dark black hair,with dark brown eyes, and jeans, with a black shirt and black shoes... I knew who it was,but why was he here?

"Ugh Josh what are you doing here ?" I said with a tone of dislike in my voice. "Well, Emily I have to go and check that, everyone who got the invitations actually opens them" he said as he walked up and gently rubbed my cheek. I pushed him away, "wow your a feisty one " he said grinning "o yeah and what exactly where you going to do to me when I was a wolf , I mean your a human, and well you already know what I am" he started to chuckle."Well actually I am perfectly capable of defending myself, and anyways i'm not scared of you nor am I scared of Tyler, and you can tell him that" I said as I walked towards my mail box. Josh ran in front of me and got the invitation then said " here I got it..., now open it ". "Fine " as I opened the invitation a white bright light shined and a spiral marking appeared on my wrist.

"What the heck is this, Josh!" I yelled as I was confused, "I don't know Emily how about you actually read the invite" he said with sarcasm in his voice. I read the invitation and it read

Dear civilian of my soon to be kingdom, you now have this mark, it is an invitation, an invitation to be my slave but there will only be one lucky winner. If you do not show up that mark will kill you, so I highly advise you to show up. In two days you will go to my castle, and I will chose one of you. O and where something nice. from your prince, Tyler

"Pffff ,he does realize that i'm not gonna dress up,and I know you do, or do you you not remember how I am?", "of course I remember how you are,but that doesn't matter if the prince asks you to do something". "I am very much aware about your best friend , ok but I don't care I have free will,I mean i'll show up to the dumb thing but I will not dress up for him" I said crossing my arms.

He started to grin and then he said " I really do hope he chooses you, I think he would enjoy you" he looked me up and down" yeah i'll put in a good word for you". "Bye Emily" he said smiling and walking away. "O yeah and stop freaking eating my chickens"I yelled,"yeah, yeah" he said waving his hand in the air. He then transformed into a wolf once again and ran away.

Walking back into my house I huffed and tried to rub the marking off but it didn't work. I tried to just relax and actually enjoy my two last days of freedom especially since I have a one in a million chance of getting picked, but then theirs my luck and theirs Josh.

I got into my car and drove over to my moms house, to see my little sister and make sure Tyler's little brother (Johnny) isn't over there, he has a thing for her. On my way over there I saw a giant , and it was Tyler's brother, he had dark brown short curly hair. Johnny was just walking, probably over to my moms house to see my sister. I tried to turn around but it was to late he saw my car and he knew it was mine, he put his hand in front of my car to stop it.

Then he shrank down to his normal size and said "can I have a ride... what am I saying of course I can, I mean we are heading to the same place" he smiled and then got into the car "ugh two of these jerks in one day, can I please just have two nice days before I have to see the worst of all jerks" I whispered to myself as I started to drive. "You know me and my brother really aren't that bad, and neither is Josh, especially when it comes to the people we love, which by the way for me is your sister" he said having a serious look on his face "yeah right" I said only looking at the dirt road.

When we got there I got out the car and my sister ran towards me and gave me a hug, then she saw Johnny and blushed , and so did he "what is he doing here?" She asked smiling and blushing even more "well on my way over here he stopped me and had me drive him, an- and please tell me you don't like this jerk " I said hoping she wasn't falling for him. He sped over to here and swooped her off her feet, she started to laugh and smile " I am so happy your not 20 yet" he said leaning his head down on to hers as he still held her in his arms " why?" she asked .

" Because now you cant be my brothers slave, but once I am 22 I will make you my queen" they both started to lean in for a kiss but I cut in. " Ok I think its time for you to go , like right now!" I mean I didn't like him, but I like that he made my sister happy, but then I still don't like him " pff yeah ok, ill see you later Lily and, Emily ill put in a good word for you,to my brother" he said as he walked away, "yeah ,please don't!" I yelled trying to make sure he herd me which he probably did.

I went into my moms house and sat down in the dinning room stress-fully rubbing my face trying to think about what I would do, if I had to be stuck with 3 people I try to avoid daily, and what they would do to me. My mom walked through the door and saw me, she already knew what was bothering me. "Its ok sweetie, hopefully he wont chose you, I mean you out of millions of people, its unlikely but I don't know I guess all we can do is hope for the best", " yeah hopefully he wont chose me ,but I guess ill just try to stop thinking about it".

"O yeah mom so has Lily said anything to you about Johnny... you know Tyler's little brother?" I said feeling a little nauseated, " no but he has come over a whole lot lately just to see her, I do think she likes him though". "Great" I said feeling disappointment wash over my face, she went to get some water then sat back down in front of me, she sipped the water then smiled "what, I think they would be cute together" I was shocked from what I just herd, "bu-but hes a freaking jerk and so is his brother and,and" "And what"she cut me off "if he makes her happy and treats her right that's all that should matter right" I put my head down feeling a little ashamed "right".

I hugged Lily and went back home... this time with nobody riding with me, I went home I took a shower and I went to bed. For my last day I just relaxed, I took a break from my job, I watched some TV and tried to just enjoy my day. I went out to the lake by my house and started to swim for a while, nobody was outside ... it was peaceful. "EMILY!!!" I heard my name echo through the forest, I got out the water and wrapped my towel around me . Next thing I know I saw Alex flying straight towards me smiling and yelling my name. Alex had light brown hair and blue eyes her wings where also blue but in the middle of the spiral there was a shade of purple, she was taller than me but only by about an inch. She flew past me with speed but then quickly turned around and landed in front of me.

"I have been looking everywhere for you!" Alex said with her face looking excited and mad,"sorry , but why where you looking for me?" I said with a confused expression on my face."Why was I looking for you!?"she quickly said raising her voice "I was looking for you because tomorrow is the day, the day that one of us could be chosen to be the princes slave" she said smiling so hard I thought her face would be stuck like that. "Ok ,am I the only person that isn't excited about this" I said crossing my arms and rolling my eyes. "Um actually yeah I think you are, because why wouldn't you want to be his slave I mean he is so hot but not hotter than Josh".

" O I don't know, maybe because you lose your freedom and have to do whatever he says plus hes a total jerk". " Yeah whatever but your still gonna look nice, because yesterday I went shopping for both of us and found the perfect dresses" she pulled out her wand and smiled " no no no no no!!!!" I yelled as I started to run away from her. " Yep" she said smiling then there was a bright white flash and next thing I know I was in my house with a dress on.

The dress was purple and then it faded into blue at the end it was very fitted and mad my butt look big, which I did not like at all. "Alex take this freaking dress off me right now!", "Ugh fine but your gonna wear it tomorrow" she pulled out her wand and got me in some blue jeans and a t-shirt "pff yeah ok, you know i'm not gonna wear that" she just looked at me and said "yeah ok". "Well i'm going home now so, good night and see you tomorrow" Alex said as she flew away. Right after she left I took a shower, got into my night clothes and went to bed.
